Bluetooth Phone and Smartphone Link

I recently purchased the Live Traffic and Weather for the Smartphone Link and I have it installed on my Nuvi 2597LMT. I really like the Live Traffic updates over the traffic alerts that came with the Nuvi; however, I don't like my phone calls going through the Nuvi, via Bluetooth, when I am using the Smartphone Link.
Can I disable the phone feature on the 2597 when connected to Bluetooth and only have Smartphone Link connected via Bluetooth?
Disable Smartphone link Hands Free Calling
On the Nuvi, if you go to the main screen, then select Apps, then select Smartphone Link, then select the "Hands Free Calling" option so its unchecked, that should keep the Bluetooth data connection active but stop the Nuvi from being able to answer incoming calls and make outgoing calls.
