Hi all and I hope you are having a happy holiday season.

My daughter gave me a gift card for lifetime maps for my birthday and I recently used it to upgrade my 765t. When I logged in it also downloaded a software upgrade. I don't know if it was the 2012.30 map or the software but on my current trip, the 765t showed the arrival time in central time, not eastern time which is what it's clock is set to. Surprised me. Not a bad thing, just a surprise.

My past GPS units had a "reverse route" one click and you were routed back to the starting point. Very convenient for a route with many preset waypoints.

Anyone know if you can reverse a preprogrammed route in the 1450 with out having to reprogram all the waypoints?

Has anyone noticed that their Garmin 1490T takes longer and longer to perform calculations for the requested route (just point a to point B) when you sleect where you want to go?

Any suggestions to fix this?

I have both a 1490T and a 265W unit. The 1490 came with the Traffic receiver. The 265W did not. Now I know that using software purchased for one device should not be used on multiple devices without paying multiple times.

Within the Nuvi GPS's Picture Viewer, when you click on the "I" icon to display the information on the image (jpeg file), it shows the date and time for that image. Where does the GPS get that date and time data for that certain file?

On a trip we just took from Washington, DC to Hartford, CN. no matter whether we chose Fastest, Most Direct, or the most fuel efficient route, our Garmin 3790T directed us over the George Washington Bridge.

To avoid potential traffic, we never use this route; we use the one over the Tappen Zee Bridge, a bit further north along the Hudson River.

I have a Nuvi 40LM GPS and trying to get a TourGuide proximity alert (within a 10000 feet radius) to work.
I am pretty sure this is not a mp3 compatible device, but I don't care about the soundtrack capability of the tourguides just the radius proximity alerts.

Here's what I did:

Is there a way to identify dirt or gravel roads and route around them? I often get routed on a gravel road when a nearby paved road would give a decent route.

Also, when I come across a routing error how can I prevent that same route from coming up again?

Ran Webupdater and found V3.60 for my Nuvi 3490

Currently on the road. Recently updated maps & found "prompted"under Nuroute > calculation mode & can't dope what it does.

I recently decided to buy a replacement GPS for my out-of-date 680. I needed a new charger and updated maps, and figured that it would be more cost-effective to simply buy a brand new unit and give the 680 to my son. I bought the 2455LMT, and I'm re-adjusting my thinking to the new menus. Perhaps someone can help me with two questions...

We have a major new highway that connects 95 and 270 between Baltimore and DC.

I wonder how long before Garmin catches on? I'll bet right now your Garmin will be re-calculating for a half hour! Could be a record.

I have loaded them to the SD card using POI Loader BUT I don't see them. There does not appear to be an Extras spot like there is on my 660. I remember reading about it on here but I didn't have one so I didn't pay attention to the answer. Help!

I been enjoying my new Nuvi. Does the 2460 have proximity points/alerts? I see them under the Extras but I haven't seen or heard them yet. Does it need the Tourguide feature to work?

The file does work on my old Nuvi 760.

You can say "Find by name" and it will respond "Speak the name of a place". Find by name is not one of the choices in the main menu for voice command.

I'm wondering why my 1450LMT switches from a white background to a military khaki shade of green, and back to white again, when following a route with the map displayed. This has nothing to do with sunset or sunrise and seems to happen randomly. Thoughts?

I am attempting to set up an alert sound on my 1490LMT and have read many FAQ and submissions on the subject but am still a little fuzzy about using POI Loader. I currently have a separate folder with all my custom POIs stored there. Do I set up another folder for just the POIs I want to use with proximity alerts? When Loader runs in MANUAL you only have one choice for distance etc.

I just Return from a Trip to NY from Ohio I download the new version of REST AREA version AO. The new version does not work. Did not show on my Gps when I was near the rest area ,did not give me any allert. So I delete them and install the older version of the rest area.
