I just Return from a Trip to NY from Ohio I download the new version of REST AREA version AO. The new version does not work. Did not show on my Gps when I was near the rest area ,did not give me any allert. So I delete them and install the older version of the rest area.
I do not know who upload the AO version .I also notice that the AO version they are in the wrong format ,you can read and see the location.when you click on them, while older version are not.But they work on my gps.
REST AREA version AO
I'm not seeing the problem. I just loaded the new one. It all looks good, checked the file prior to putting it on, looked ok. Did a dry run on one, no problems. Clicked the info tab and it gave me specific info on the rest area. As far as Alerts are concerned, i don't load them for rest areas, so I never checked, but I cannot see them not working. You did load the Alert for this file with poi loader?

Works OK for me
I downloaded AO and it has worked fine on my zumo 660 between Pittsburgh, PA Fishkill, NY and Rochester, NY.

Should be no reason
There should be no reason for ver. AO not to work. There were no structural changes to the file at all. Just a few minor location changes which are a no-brainier (even for me).
Am running simulation as I type.
My gut feel says the OP forgot to make any necessary changes to the names of the .bmp (icon) and possibly the .wav file so that they agree with the .csv file.
If my simulation bombs out I will troubleshoot but since several others are having no problem I suspect a "cockpit error" !

@Driver 38 - I am like the others. I do not see anything wrong with the file. It looks to me like the format is fine.
Can you give some more details on what you think is wrong?
Also, tell us how you loaded the last version? I assume you used POILoader.
I'm with the majority
Driver 38, I'm from Ohio, too, (northeaster Ohio) and I've had version AO installed for a couple of weeks. Haven't had any problems. You didn't explain what kind of problems you were experiencing, but I haven't had any. You did load them manually and set the alert, right?

Rest Area
I always use the POI loader to install the rest area as well the speed camera..when I click on the POI files on my garmin YES it show me that the rest area location are there, but when I was near a rest area he did not give any sound or alert of the rest area.I was traveling on I-80 and one more thing I Notice also when I did look up the Rest Area manualy while driving it would tell me that the rest area was a few miles near to me.But when I reach the destination that the Gps was telling me ,the rest area was not there.and why the AO version is in a TEXT format when I click on the file on my PC it is readible, oder version on not readible on my pc but they work on my GPS.
I can not figure out why Older version they work fine and the AO version just not working for me only?
it sounds as if

It sounds as if your alert files don't match the rest stop file version.
I have my file named Rest Areas along with both the sound and icon. When I download the latest version of the file, I save it to my folder containing the old file along with the sound and icon. The new file is renamed (actually I do a Save As) to the existing file name which overwrites the old data with the new. I don't have to play around with renaming any files as the computer takes care of that for me automagically. I've never had a problem with the file because I don't change the names from what was previously working.
Just a guess on my part, but the letter O looks a lot like zero (0). is there a chance you have a zero when you think you have an O?

A CSV file is a text file
@Driver 38,
All CSV files, which is what you downloaded, are text files. Once you run them through POILoader they become a file with a GPI extension which is a binary file. This GPI file is what should be loaded to your GPS.
When downloading file updates from POI-Factory, like Box Car, I too always use the Save As command so my files always match the BMP and WAV files and they always overwrite the previous files on the GPS when using POILoader.
AO ver has been working fine on all 3 of my Garmins since it was released.
