Nuvi's Picture Viewer date and time display

Hello everyone,

Within the Nuvi GPS's Picture Viewer, when you click on the "I" icon to display the information on the image (jpeg file), it shows the date and time for that image. Where does the GPS get that date and time data for that certain file?

On my Nuvi 1350T it shows the date and time for the image completely different from the jpeg file's EXIF data (date time original, date time digited etc....) also it is not from the file properties create date or file last modified date.

Trying to figure out where does my GPS get this date/time.

My 1350T has the latest software update verstion 5.70

Thanks

?

How far off is the date and time?

Is it the date and time that the pic was loaded into the GPS?

It's not the time/date when the files was inserted into the GPS. It is not offset by a certain range, but the dates seems to be an exact date in November 11th and time. Even if I delete all those files from the GPS, do a hard reset, copy all those files back to the GPS, those date and time stay exact the same, and again these dates/time are not from the EXIF internal data which is embedded within the jpeg file.

This is my guess

My guess is they are embedded in the picture file itself. You can view this also for pictures on your computer. "Right click" any picture and select "properties" and then the "details" tab and you will see the date and time attached to that picture.
