Nuvi 1450LMT Screen Background Color

I'm wondering why my 1450LMT switches from a white background to a military khaki shade of green, and back to white again, when following a route with the map displayed. This has nothing to do with sunset or sunrise and seems to happen randomly. Thoughts?

Green backgrounds

I often see green backgrounds for parks (NPS, State, etc.), golf courses, etc. and white for private lands of a non-recreational ilk. I think that National Forests are white as well all the time although maybe this isn't true across the board.

Shout back if this isn't your finding as well.

I agree with your point but the khaki green I'm wondering about fills the entire screen with no parks, golf courses, etc. in the vicinity.

green screen

Very occasionally mine will do that and it usually has something to do with national/state forest or military area.

Try zooming out to see how far out the green screen goes you may be in a designated forest area?
