Ran Webupdater and found V3.60 for my Nuvi 3490
One of the (many) reasons I hurried to buy the 3490LMT was that I could use it on a trip to help me Portuguese. So I get the 3490LMT, buy the Oxford Language Guide and when I tried to download/install it, the download process immediately failed with a message stating my device was not compatible with this software! What rubbish! Not only does the 3490LMT come with a demo version of the Oxford Language Guide installed, the compatibility list on the Garmin Website explicitly lists the 3490LMT as a compatible device.
I went around and around with Garmin support ... they had me do master resets, upgrades, etc. ... all to no avail. Ultimately they just refunded me the purchase price of the Language Guide and said to check back later!
I was pretty disappointed that (obviously) nobody bothered testing that the full/paid Language Guide actually could install and run on a product which comes with a hobbled, free "teaser" demo version of that same software pre-installed!
