Is there a Garmin device(s) that have POIs already installed?
I see some Garmins using foursquare...are these the ones with it already?

My neighbor has a new car and his built in sat nav system has all icons displaying for all gas stations, restaurants etc. Is Garmin capable of this without loading POIs for every single gas station , restaurant etc?

I am just learning how to use my new Garmin NuviCam and, on looking over the tutorials on how to load POI files into the Garmin, find that it opens with describing the use of a Windows platform. Does this mean that it will not work with the Google Chrome browser? I've been trying to figure out if the POI Loader works with Chrome as that is the browser I usually use.

Garmin has a FAQ stating that it's possible to get an audible alert when going over the speed limit when the unit is set to a European locale.

There's been talk in the past that setting the unit to Australia will give the user the ability in turning auto zoom on & off.

When I open my list off Poi in my garmin, why does it appear that the only ones that are close by can be viewed. Example: there are 48 UFA in alberta and stored in a poi file, but only ten appear in list, how can I view all 48 locations?

Is there a way to change all the symbols to a little GREEN TENT?

There are nearly 20,000 of them so not practical to do one by one.
(I have them all in a separate list in Basecamp)

There is a little hole (indention) on the front of my Nuvi 2455LMT and I don't know what it is. Is it a mic or something. Because I think my unit doesn't support that feature.

Smart Link does not work between my iPhone and NuviCam. I get frequent disconnects. I have ZERO issues when only going from my iPhone to NuviCam when only the phone is connected via Bluetooth and not Smart Link.

Please share your configuration, especially if yours works. Here is mine.

Hmm, we've known for a while that Garmin map update policy states that a device not updated for more than 24 month will lose the ability to update maps.

I don't know that we've ever heard of someone experiencing this.

Here's a way to test it if anyone wants to buy a used 3597 with 2015 maps:

I downloaded the poi file for Harley Davidson dealerships on an SD card and inserted it into the slot on my Nuvi 55LM. The locations are now on the gps and when I tried to save a new destination as a favorite I get a message that the favorites folder is full. Is there someway to keep the poi locations on the SD card only?

I really like my Mountek nGroove 6000g CD Slot Mount, but now that I see this, I want to learn more about it. I must admit that I like the idea of triple ball mounting and having the opportunity to hold two devices.

Used our 660 yesterday... Bright day... In past few months I noticed that the Screen didn't seem as bright as it had been before.....
I'm guessing the backlight panel is fading over time... I see it going slightly red as well, which is another symptom I used to see on screens at work that had lots of hours on them.....

My 2595 keeps telling me "Memory Full". Internal memory is almost full. I have a 4 GB SD card that has over 2GB free inserted.
I assume that it's favourites taking up memory, so I've deleted GC (geocache) favourites and numbered (012 for example) favourites from the unit's memory.

Hi all. I am a bit frustrated why my Garmin lm58 would take me the long way around to a poi. I have a poi about 2 miles off a main highway but instead it will take me 70 km around then in.. i have tried to (check, uncheck) every possible navigation option like aviod toll roads or unpaved or uturns or ferries. Tried everything'..

I bought my nuvi 855 as a factory refurb in 2010. Later that year I bought a spare battery for it on eBay (they are no longer available, but were readily available at that time). I always carried the spare in the nuvi case. To keep the two batteries both fully charged, every few days I would swap between the two for normal daily use of my 855.

For the last many years I've been running Examdiff to do file compares on my Windows 7 system. I've recently moved over to a Windows 10 system and when I went to download Examdiff I found out it's not supported under 10. There is a new version that is, but it's very expensive for my purposes.
