Antivirus vendor Bitdefender obtained the Bart decryption keys from the Romanian police

Maybe this will help some poor soul

Wow, thanks! And AVG is now part of Avast? I did not know that. I suspect that before long, the two will fully merge and there will be one less anti-virus software out there.

BTW, a good defense against the encryption malware (or any other crippling malware) is a good and current (or relatively current) back up. And better yet, an image.
