When I checked for current updates today, I found the update was for fleet management tracking. I looked it up http://www8.garmin.com/pressroom/corporate/021207.html and found that GPS units apparently CAN be tracked with some help.

Taken from the web description: "tracking the location of their drivers and vehicles" with the addition of GPS-Buddy and Beacon Wireless.

Has anyone put a Washington Mutual POI together for Illinois?

Got a new Nuvi 760. I like it except that the poor FM transmitter. It's almost useless in a big city like Los Angeles. Anyway it came with 2008 US map pre-installed and I saw that they have 2009 update on their site. Do I have a free update or do I have to pay to get the update?

Also, is it possible to import my favorites from my old nuvi 350 to Nuvi 760? How do I do it?

I was wondering because, while reporting a bad POI, I saw this on the Navteq website: "NAVTEQ releases navigation data up to four times a year to a wide range of navigation system manufacturers and vendors. Because of the time required to process the data, there is a lag between making an addition to the database and seeing that change reflected in a navigation system.

since my update software ver 3.10 , my 760 locks up at times after speaking turn directions.
anyone have this problem ?

My daughter wanted to use her 260W so I took it outside to acquire satellites and I was out there for 15 plus minutes and nothing happened.. I was in an open sky area and everything... Any suggestions?

Is anyone having problems with this most recent update? I just updated my 760 from 3.0 to 3.10 but have not tested it yet? If there is a probelm with 3.10 how do you go back to 3.0?

I just got an email from Garmin informing me that the "JULY" update for the BlueChart Americas charts I own are available.

They are designating the update as Version 2008.5

I did at least order the update CD, but I am pretty sure they are going to want $75.00 PER REGION for the unlock codes. I have two regions and this adds up.

Only one i know of is 660
does anyone know if 255, 650, 750, 850, 860
I know 760 does not, i have it.
I cant find WAS on garmin's compare page.

I'm downloading the icons (BITMAP form) but cant seem to get them to show up on my Nuvi 660. any ideas how?

Is it possible to remove the unused counties from the language list?

I understand that if my Nuvi plays mp3 files (which my Nuvi 350 does), that I can have tour guides.

Say I create a tour guide with truck stops in it.
Then go on a trip that goes by many of these truck stops. I load the tour guide with the truck stops in it but do not point to any of the truck stops as my destination in my trip.

On My 750 I maped out a route to my sons home. I moved the route to one that is easier and downloaded in to my 750. The download did not show the changes I made before down loading. 2 questions. How do I get it to download the prefered route ( no way points) and 2, can I erase the ones that I downloaded trying to get the one I wanted. I don't want to waste the memory in the 750.

I've updated to the latest version of Bobcat and have updated my nuvi 750 to the latest software as well. Now I open Bobcat and try it import my latest trips and I get a error screen with my email address that wants me to send a detailed list of what's wrong. All i know is a I can't import my trips and when i try to quit out of Bobcat it freezes up. Any ideas?..................Drew

I can't seem to locate anyplace that describes what is an included funtion of the 760 and what is TMC. For example, when I am driving
are speed limits on the highway, 760 or TMC
is elevation, 760 or TMC
Basically, what I am trying to figure out before I have to make a decision is what comes with TMC as opposed to just the functions of the 760.
