According to another forum, the City Navigator NT 2010 maps are now available for download (file name Garmin_RMU_CNNANT2010.exe).

I just got a 760 today, so I'll be downloading the new map later tonight and reporting back.

EDIT: Looks like chewbacca was the first to report the new maps in the 2009 MAP UPDATES discussion at 00:48 this a.m.

the 255w has a gpx directory. In this directory is one file. Is this the file I have created? or was it created by Garmin initial load?

I have removed and loaded poi files to the poi directory on the 255w, and that has worked fine. Just wanted to see if gpx is handled in the same way.

Has anyone else noticed a recent lack of detail in their XM weather data? I have a Zumo 550 and have been using XM weather/traffic (NavTraffic subscription) for a bit over a year now. Noticed over the past 1-2 months the weather data seems to have less detail (forecast info, high/low temp data) for the same reporting stations I usually see forecast and other data for.

Is there a way to change the route that is programed in my Nuvi? I usually travel on a less traveled road than the GPS thinks I should be on so I continually get recalculating and wanting me to turn off of the road that I want to be on. I would like the unit to know where I want to be.

I have read with much interest many of the posts about the differences, good and bad, between the 780 and 785.

To date, it seems the single largest complaint people have about the 785/765 over the 780/760 is the lack of detail shown on the maps.

Has anybody downloaded and used the EcoRoute from the Garmin.com site? What has been your experience with the EcoRoute?

I live in Hawaii, and have an MSN Direct receiver for my Nuvi 205. Up until recently, I could use all the MSN services except for traffic, but very recently it seems as if they've added traffic coverage for Honolulu.

Supposedly I'm now supposed to get both Traffic Incidents and Traffic Speeds. I see the Incidents, but am wondering what the Traffic Speeds part is supposed to look like.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but Google hasn't given me any good info yet.

Every morning I drop my daughter off at school, then my son at the sitter's, and then I continue on to work. I'd like to be able to save that trip as one unit, so that I can view traffic along the route.

But on my Nuvi 205, I need to enter in the three points individually each morning when I start out.

I have the windshield mount and the bean bag mount for a nuvi. If you use both, it requires that you take the bracket off one and attach it to the other. I would like to use the windshield mount in my car, but would like to use the beanbag mount in my wife's car and rental cars.

I am concerned about the bracket connection wearing out by changing it many times.

Questions are these.

In general the precision and accuracy on my gps is OK. But I have noticed a huge variation in response "distance" approaching my POIs. For example, if I set the proximity alert to 500 meters, the response distance varies from 500 meters to no response at all! I have 8000 POIs on the GPS (is that the problem?).
Is that normal "behaviour"?

I own a Garmin nuvi 260. I also own a smartphone (AT&T Tilt) which has an internal GPS. I am thinking about ordering a copy of Garmin mobile XT for the phone.

I am going to Ireland this summer and have ordered the SD card with maps of ireland. Will I be able to use the card in the Nuvi, and then remove the card and put it in the smartphone and have Mobile XT access the card?

I went on a motorcyle ride From Harley-Davidson, in Mcallen,TX to Dirty AL's at South Padre Is. Then back to the Harley Shop using a differnt route. I can load the route going to Al's, but when I try to load the route back, it devides into 3 routes.

It's gotta be some sort of an evil plot.

Just when I think I've got my POI's up to date ... old Aophiuchus updates the Walmart file again and puts me behind the 8 ball of having to fire up POILOADER again.

(Is it just me or is Aophiuchus kinda scary lookin? Ha!)

But anyway .... I'd like to thank him for his never-ending quest to update the Walmart file.

I downloaded the redbox.csv and the redbox.bmp and put them in the same folder. I then used the poi loader and received a success message but I cannot find and of the redbox locations on my gps. Any help would be appreciated.

I wonder if any of the Garmin Nuvi users can help me with the following question. I have a 255W unit and after seeing all the wonderful POI files available, I wanted to start building a POI file of my own with parking areas for bicycle rail trails in Michigan.

I'm hoping someone here can help me out. I have a Nuvi370 and have been using the Bluetooth connection for a while with my phone (LG8350). This morning I noticed my Nuvi wasn't connecting to my phone. When I looked at the settings, the bluetooth feature had been disabled. When I try to enable it, it just hangs there with the words "Enabling BLuetooth" showing up on the screen.

I have a Garmin Nuvi 850. I am retired US Navy, so I down loaded the military campground POI file and the Combined campground file.

I uploaded these to my Garmin with the Garming POI Loader. This worked fine and did showup on the Garmin in the Extra Section as Custom POIs.

hi all. i have a 4gb sd card (class 6) i was going to use on my 255w when i get it. i read somewhere only a 2gb card will work on garmin . please post sucesses or failures with brand and size used.

I picked up a Nuvi760 the other day, and I bought this unit specifically for the ability to load routes. I found a website with all manner of cool motorcycle loops/rides, and it will allow downloads in a variety of formats.
