Tour guide beginner question

 

Hi,

I am trying to get a better understanding of Tour Guides. When I load a Tour Guide, it appears under Custom POIs (Garmin 750) as individual points. They all work with audio and video but it seems like I should have something more like a Route rather than a bunch of individual points. The tour was from the geovative.com site and was of San Francisco. Do I need to rename it to SFTourGuide.gpx? The only thing I can think of is to take them into MapSource as Waypoints and then make a route to those points and then send it to the GPS as a Route. Is that the way to do it? What does naming it as *TourGuide do?

I'm assuming you selected either "One-step Transfer" or "Download TourGuide GPI File" when you downloaded the tour...

Since you have a nuvi750, you can also transfer the tour route by clicking on the orange "transfer the tour route" link near the bottom of the Download as Garmin TourGuide page.
