Three years ago I purchased a c530. RT (retired technician)took my sound files and tweaked them to increase the volume. The results were fabulous. I was able to hear voice commands on my motorcycle at 70 mph with ear plugs in. That said, the c530 has two large speakers in the rear. My Nuvi 750 has just one tiny crappy speaker.

Oh Man! Not my day today for sure. Loading my GPS into it's case for transport and my butter fingers let it slip through. Like watching it in slow mo ...it fell on it's back and craaaaaaaaaaaaaack! Still operational and working except near the crack. Any idea how much to get this fixed or anything would help.

I downloaded the Redlight-Cameras.csv file. Then I downloaded a bmp and an mp3 file, and renamed them to Redlight-Cameras.bmp and Redlight-Cameras.mp3, respectively. I then moved them to the same directory for subsequent download to my nuvi 255W.

I'm beginning to believe that when you load new maps, new Map POI's get loaded too? Is that correct?

I saw different items than I remember from 'before' the map upgrade I did this week (Testing by scrolling maps without getting in the car and actually going anywhere..)

Has anyone ever seen a POI for O' Charley's Restaurants? They are popular in the Mid West, Eastern and South Eastern US.

Yesterday I took delivery of a Nuvi 750. I snagged it on eBay for $105 and that included a bean bag mount. The unit is like new and works perfect. If you are patient, there are some deals out there.

Hey all! One of the features I loved about the Garmin was that it displayed the upcoming street when in normal navigation mode. Ever since I did the update using the Webupdater, that feature seems to have been replaced, instead it now tells me what street I'm on,( which I find almost uselss)!

I've downloaded several POI files, and apparently successfully uploaded them to my GPSMap69CX, running Ibycus 2.1 Canada map, but they don't show up, either on the list of POIs or on the maps. Any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong?

Hi everyone. I just replaced my Nuvi 660 with a Nuvi 765T and I'm trying to figure out how to transfer my favorites? I've got the POI loader and I've been able to upload my red light cameras without any problems. However, I used Garmin Road Trip and downloaded all the favorites from my old Nuvi and exported it as a GPX file but it would not show up in the favorites folder.

Can someone point me towards the discussion for making .csv file "comments" visible on the GPSr GO page? Also line breaks to go along with this.
I have some files that work and some that do not and I am having trouble seeing why.........

I'm soon to receive a Nuvi 765T as a gift, replacing my Nuvi 350.

I was wondering if I also need to upgrade my 350's Portable Friction Mount or are the fitting the same? I also would like to know if my 350's language guide and Fodor travel guide (on SD memory cards) would work in the 765T? Any help would be appriciated.

Changes made from version 6.60 to 6.70:

* Added NAVTEQ traffic support.
* Fixed issue of multiple 'Other' categories in POI search.

Have a Nuvi660 for quite sometime now with lifetime traffic. Codes in nuvi.

Live in Delaware, but use traffic for Philly, Balt and NYC areas.

Last trip to NY had no traffic coverage on Friday night up, but coverage was active on trip home on Sunday. Any ideas????

Attempted to install EPE V22. This is what I get:

Component 'RICHTX32.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid.

Maybe this can't be used on Vista Home Premium 64 bit?

I have created a Waypoint with MapSource and have converted it to an .GPI file with Garmin's POILoader (v. 2.5.4). The image and the "TourGuide" audio file I linked to the the MapSource file were converted to the .GPI file wihout any problems. The issue I have is that the Waypoint 'comments' are being duplicated twice on my unit.

My question is how to set the tour guide option. For example, I would like to set the tour guide option for a Shell gas station. IF the POI name is "Shell" than do I rename it as "TourGuide Shell" or "Tour Guide Shell" ? I'm not sure if Tour Guide is supposed to be one word or two?

I d/l and installed POI Loader for my nuvi 750 and successfully installed places to visit.csv.

Sure enough it showed up in the Garmin POI folder. Since I live about 1/2 an hour from San Jose, CA I installed
sweet_things_near_San Jose_V.csv.
