Nuvi 750, can I increase volume?

Three years ago I purchased a c530. RT (retired technician)took my sound files and tweaked them to increase the volume. The results were fabulous. I was able to hear voice commands on my motorcycle at 70 mph with ear plugs in. That said, the c530 has two large speakers in the rear. My Nuvi 750 has just one tiny crappy speaker. However, I am still wondering if there ia a way to tweak the sound files to make them louder. Any ideas?

Yes, you can increase the volume...some. As you point out, the 750 has a very small speaker in the rear. The audio can be increased using TTS Voice Editor. You can download it at:

But don't expect to be able to hear it while riding your motorcycle. You might want to consider an external audio amp.

It Worked

Thanks, I used the TTS Voice Editor to increase the volume. It worked great and was easy to boot. Even it I can't make out all the words on my motorcycle, it is surely loud enough now where I can at least here it is giving me a voice command. I can then peak at the screen to see what is happening. The GPS is mounted behind the windshield and the sound bounces off of it back at me. It is actually quite loud.

Thanks canuk

My b-in-law was complaining that he had a hard time hearing the 750 in his 1993 Corvette. Road noise and all.

I d/l'd turbos program and tweaked the sound level all the way to 95. He reports that the volume is now quite good and he can hear it much better.

Worked great!!!!! A+++

This tool is really easy to use and worked great on my Nuvi 750. When I first got it, I could hardly hear the directions while driving on the freeway (60mph) in my SUV. I almost would have had to return the unit had it not been for this tool. Thanks a bunch!
