Oh Man! Nuvi 780 Front Glass Plate Just Cracked!

Oh Man! Not my day today for sure. Loading my GPS into it's case for transport and my butter fingers let it slip through. Like watching it in slow mo ...it fell on it's back and craaaaaaaaaaaaaack! Still operational and working except near the crack. Any idea how much to get this fixed or anything would help.

Yes try Garmin first as they are pretty good about doing repairs and offering replacements.

Have known folks that have used this service and they are all happy campers.

That's why I'd be more than willing to send my Nuvi to the site I linked above. If there is additional damage he will let you know and you make the decision whether to spend the extra $$ or not.

Also, if you look at the very bottom of the sites home page you will see the current status of repairs. Currently they are 'backlogged'. Nice to know BEFORE you send your device in for repair.

By the way, I have no connection to the site or the owner. I just have friends that have used the service and were more than happy.

Nuvi Crack

This is a common problem. It happens to a lot of people. As long as the image on the screen is OK and does not have any distortions, then your LCD is OK and you just need a new touchscreen with glass. You can't just get the touchscreen or just the glass, they come together bonded by the touchscreen manufacturer.
