Nüvi 760 stops after 10 sec.....
My Nüvi 760 died (probably) yesterday! Right after start, the Nüvi logo shows up, the maps are loaded, "Accept" shows up, AND the thing dies!

Nuvi 1450 GO button gone from custom poi
My go button is gone from my custom POI but only from poi generated from a gpx file. csv poi still have the go button.. I have the new maps and updated firm ware. Any IDEAS???

Removing Duplicate POI FILES
Hi.. I hope I picked the correct forum.. If not please put in correct forum.. I checked/searched could not find the answer.
I added POI files to my GARMIN 465T and when checking my garmin I see 2 files with the same name.. How do I delete those POI files from my Garmin ?

Patch cord to charge and transfer data
I recently purchased a Garmin Nuvi 3790LMT upgrading from a Nuvi 750. I would like to use the cord from the 750 and was wondering if a mini to micro patchcord was available that would both charge and handle data to the 3790.
I also have an ac adaptor for the 750 can the same cord, if availble be used with it. Thank you.

No Icons, only little black dots, Nuvi 50LM
I recently downloaded all the Favorites from my daughter's old 660 GPS into MapSource, and with her help deleted duplicates, old waypoints, etc. We then assigned appropriate icons to all of the remaining waypoints.

Software Update for 37xx Nuvi
Nuvi 37xx Version 4.80
Changes made from version 4.70 to 4.80:
Updated to comply with France Safety Camera decree.
Fixed a bug that caused the device to lose turn information while recalculating a route when near a junction.
Fixed a bug that caused the unit to freeze when receiving traffic information from a GTM36 cable.

garmin 1300 ("CANNOT AUTHENTICATE MAPS")
i get a message when i downloaded my gps withn 2012.30 map the message i get is CANNOT AUTHENTICATE MAPS can anyone tell me how i can fix this problem??

Garmin shuts off when selecting entry from Extra POI File
After some comparing of one of the files in question (Historical Naval Ships in GPX format), I discovered that the entries causing the shutdown had longer descriptive data listed. I converted the GPX file to CSV and found that My Garmin 1300 was shutting down abruptly when selecting certain entries listed in a POI File from my Custom POIs in the Extras option.

Routing Date in Nuvi 1300 Update to V5.80
I just updated my Nuvi 1300 to V5.80. Prior to the update my display showed 4 boxes on the right-hand side allowing me to choose among Estimated Time of Arrival, Distance To Destination, Estimated Time To Destination, Direction of Travel, Elevation, and Time of Day.

Custom POIs not showing up
Tonight I just re-added my Custom POIs to my StreetPilot and they loaded as they normally do. When selecting Custom POIs under Where To and selecting one of my categories (Dunkin Donuts as an example) it says "No Matches Found".

Firmware update 4.40 released for Nuvi 7x5 series
Garmin has released firmware update 4.40 for the Nuvi 7x5 series. The change log is as follows:

"Honey, I shrunk my Nuvi 650 memory" (... or HELP !!!)
I have a Nuvi 650 that I bought new in 2008 and it's served me well since then. However, it was getting a bit 'long in the tooth' as far as recent information like roads, POI's, etc, so I thought I take a plunge and get a map-update rather than buy a new unit (though they are sooo tempting, but $$$ is tight).

Ghost speed traps
I load only the Redlight cam file and verified more than once that the file contains only Redlightm but my nuvi continues to alert me of Speed Traps...cannot find them...probably from previous installation.
I even went ahead and delete the Current.gpx. Things did not help.
Please help. where do I begin to invest why, and the fix.

Home on the Menu Bar
On my Garmin 3490, every so often this HOME pops up on the menu bar and shows the amount of miles to home, which I do not want, I was able to disable it once, anyone know how to disable it permanently. I prefer to have the individual streets show up as I approach them.

Unstable USB connection
Whenever I connect my Nuvi 765t to the computer (Windows XP SP3) by USB port, I have to spend 15-20 minutes trying to get it to work. Eventually it works, but usually after a number of connects/disconnects.

How do I create a GPX file with Phone Numbers
I just got a Nuvi 2460lmt. I would like to create a GPX file so I may use the dialer and blue tooth. I have a database that has all the info in a csv format. Is there a program that can create a gpx file from this about 2500 names and addresses.
Also is it possible to save it as extra's not as favorites.
1. convert a csv file to gpx with phone #'s
2. Save it in my Extra' as Custom POIs
Time Zone File
I have a Time Zone File on my Nuvi that I wanted to check and I can't find it in the files on here. Anyone have an idea where it went?
