I downloaded the Harley Davidson Dealers to my Nuvi 52 POI files. That seams to be fine, however I now have all 900 plus HD dealers in my favorites folder. Is there some way to mass delete the favorites. Currently you must edit/delete each entry. I'm 66 years old, I dont have that kind time, lol

I just got a 2013 Corolla, and the dashboard has a different texture than my other car. This one features a "leather" like texture. The problem is that the Garmin Permanent Dash Mount (with adhesive oval foam tape) does not stick properly. I followed all the instructions, and it still pops right off - even after letting it sit/cure for days.

Is there a File for Garmin that would cover McDonalds that have Truck and RV parking?

I have two Garmins and quite a few POI's from this site. I read where, to update POI's, you should delete the folder on your computer for the files you want to update. But I was wondering, do you delete the POI files on the Garmin also, or does the update just add or delete from the already loaded POI's?

Buyer beware. I have always been against pre-owned/refurbished items because I didn't want to buy someone else's problems. Anyways, I bought a refurbished 2460LMT because a lot of users said "no problems"' "great deals". Well. I got stung.

The above mentioned unit will give field trip data, including the fuel cost, along with Maximum Speed, Moving Average Speed, and etc. It seems that the fuel cost is based on the fuel cost per mile, which is excessive in comparison to my actual data, I have obtained for my vehicle over a number of years.

I'm having trouble getting my computer to find my DEZL 560. I keep getting the msg "No device found", even though my unit is connected via a working (tested) USB port. Can anyone help with this?

Hi there hoping somebody here can help me. I was backing up my Garmin 265W and accidentally deleted all files off it. Luckily I had managed to copy everything across onto my desktop before I deleted them off the device.

As many know, trapster.com is no more. I found it useful for speed-trap POI (places where radar-equipped cruisers often lurked), as well as (somewhat outdated) school warnings.

Has anyone found a replacement?

I have a Garmin nüvi 1300LM with a defective USB port - the device still charges but it not being recognized by any computer, or Garmin Express, or Garmin Map Update (I tried with three different cables on a Mac and on a PC; it does not work).

This happened shortly after I successfully updated the software to v6.20 and the maps to v2015.30.

What features and sizes would make a Garmin more desirable?

I am planning to fly to Europe taking my GArmin 3597 with magnetic mount on board the plane (British Air). I'd want to carry on the GPS unit, rather than stow it in the hold to make sure it arrived with me. Restrictions state that no magnetic materials are allowed in the hold or cabin.

Does anybody know if it is possible to change/add to the icons supplied with Basecamp?

According to the instruction manual when I attach it to my Zumo 550 see an "XM" selection that I touch to subscribe. I will then be presented with a display stating my unit XM ID Number and info about how to subscribe.

When I have my GXM 30 connected I do not see any indication of anything "XM".

Doing some research ran across this information on Garmin Support.May come in handy as a avoidance to set up on gps for various reasons.Or just to locate a certain bridge coordinates.

I'm trying to find the device ID with G7towin for my Nuvi 1490 to start with a recovery, whenever I've tried it it says file specified not found or connection timed out. I need the device ID to get started with Garmincure.

Any ideas? Other programs that may work, or other methods?

Some time ago, I downloaded the rest areas for AZ, CA, and NV. These are the areas that concern me for now. I was going to update them but I noticed that those certain ones were last updated in 2006 or 2007. There was an update to the 'combined areas' last December. So I'm thinking that my states have not built a new rest area since that time.

I loaded all POIs on my mini sd card. Removed the file except the current.gpx in the GPX folder and deleted the existing POIs from the GPS. When I insert the card in my 2557 it asked me if I wanted to move the POIs to the internel memory I clicked on no. Now when I check for the POIs in the device it can not find them. What am I doing wrong?
