Just came back from a trip in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Iceland... Via a tour group... Liked the Fjord areas of Norway the best.

I was wondering:

If we decide to do this again in the future, I think I'd rather want to drive around there, staying at local hotels... instead of going with a tour group...

My nuvi 265W is not recognized by Basecamp even though the GPS shows the Mass Storage Mode on its display.
Also a removable disk drive is not shown with Windows 10.

I’ve used the BC-40 with my DriveSmart 65 for about six weeks, and it has worked perfectly until yesterday. After troubleshooting and talking with Garmin Support, it has been determined that the unit has failed and Garmin is sending a complete replacement. I’ll detail the symptoms and troubleshooting steps in hopes that it will help others who may have problems.

As a proud owner of a "new" driveluxe 50, of course I am comparing waze, google maps, and my garmin.

I've noticed a few things in routing my well known path.

1) As a default, my garmin will route me through the downtown core with a lot of traffic lights.

2) my normal route is the route that waze and google pick.

My DriveLuxe 51 has a software update to v6.10 and there are likely updates for all the Drive models that can accept the BC 40 camera:

AS a driver I use my 785 to find places "up ahead" that I can stop for required breaks. Garmin taps it's own library for this information. Is there anyway I can get my custom poi files to also show up in this side window?

I currently own two new Nuvi 67LM that I bought back in 2017 as my gps unit in my car. Although it is not the best unit, it gets the job done when it works. Lately, with everything up-to-date, both units would randomly reboot during trips and even tell me to make a u-turn on a highway. I spoke to tier 2 garmin rep a month ago when the issue first began.

Is there anyway to download favorites in bulk? I have over 25 and have to click each one to download to my PC if I loose them.

With my Saved locations on my GPS I sometimes assign a graphic Symbol. I've transferred these Saved locations back and forth to Basecamp trouble free from my prior 2557LM model and the distinct assigned Symbols stay intact.

Is there a way to set a destination from Points Of Interest?
For instance if I call up Best Western Hotels if will give me several screens of them that are close to my present location.
What I need is one several states away. I know I can enter another state and address to do this but would like to do this from within the opened POI. Is this possible. Using a Garmin 255W.

Does anyone know the total destinations that can be entered
using the "TRIP PLANNER"?
I put in a trip of 45 destinations and only 31 show and usable on a simulated trip.
Once the 31 are done then I have to go in and select the 14 to complete the trip.

Does anyone have real world experience with Garmin Real Vision feature? Garmin said may only work where applicable. I'm sure mileage may vary. Looks very cool in the Ad you have argument map on destination address.

I believed feature only applied to DriveAssist 50 and 51.

I don't think this has been reported yet. The DriveLuxe 51 has a couple of updates:

What's the difference between the 3597lmthd vs the 3597lm? If I connect a gtm60 to the lm version, will it become a lmthd?

Question. I was thinking about upgrading my 3490 (which I still love due to its size) for a Drive 55. When I went to CES, the resolution appeared to be the best with that model. Anyway, the website indicates that this unit comes with a •Traffic receiver/vehicle power cable but it does not indicate which one. Under accessories, it lists both cables as being compatible.

Tried to re-load Garmin POI Loader to my computer running Windows 10 and program does not install. I get a pop up window that says "Modify Setup" with options to "Uninstall" or "Cancel".'

It does load the desktop with an icon .... but that just takes me to the pre-mentioned screen.

What am I doing wrong??

hi, I've loaded my WPs using POILoader and also using ETE to my garmin 700 device successfully, i have verified that they have thier prox' set to 10m as i wanted. started the garmin and selected that route and started walking but execpt for the start point there was no alert. where did i go wrong ? is it possible to follow a route and get alert 10 meterd before each and every point ?
