Software update for older devices (GPS Chipset type M Version 3.0)

Both my old nuvi 755T and nuvi 855 are showing software updates available today for GPS Chipset type M) to "fix a possible bug in the reported date". I suspect this is a carry-over from April 6 2019 "Week Rollover" date issue that has been discussed in other threads.
My daughter is using my 755T and she has not said anything about any issues, so I will have to wait until I see her before I can update that unit. I updated my 855. The date seemed to be correct both before and after the update, so I am not sure what situations were causing an error.

Units affected.
I couldn't find a list of Garmin devices that have GPS Chipset M or M2 (Mediatek), but I think it includes some nuvis in the 2x0, 7x0 and 8x0 series that have manufacture dates late in their life cycle, also most models of the nuvi 2x5, 7x5 and and 8x5 series. I am not sure about the 1xxx series nuvi's. A number of the handhelds from this generation used this chip (certain eTrex, Colorado, Dakota, Oregon, GPSMAP models). My Oregon 550 did not call for the update, so it apparently has a different chipset. But if you have a Garmin device from the 2007 to 2009 era, it is probably worth checking for an update on Garmin Express.

Upated my 855. The date seemed to be correct both before and after the update, so I am not sure what situations were causing an error.
Saw no error either, but interesting to know that Garmin still puts out an update after all these years.

I do have some older Garmins, including a:
-Nuvi 350
-Nuvi 360
-Nuvi 500
I will do some research to see if any of them qualify.

Checked my older Garmin Nuvis 760 and 765T and GE showed the GPS software update available for both. Updated both from 2.90 to 3.00 with no issues, date and time on both was correct before and is correct after.
