SCHAFFHAUSEN, Switzerland/July 22, 2026 — Garmin Ltd. (NYSE: GRMN) today announced it has acquired the TrainingPeaks and TrainHeroic training platforms for athletes and coaches. The acquisition strengthens Garmin’s fitness ecosystem with customizable coaching experiences for endurance, strength and performance-focused athletes across every stage of their fitness journey.

Remember when...

...Garmin was a GPS company? Now they're "...empowering athletes and coaches around the world with world-class training tools, performance metrics and actionable insights". Nothing wrong with that, of course, and it's probably a sound business decision.

They have moved on and left me behind long ago, so I'm missing all the fun and "actionable insights" that they now offer with these cloud-based services. I even missed all the fun back in 2020 wink

No wonder they "don't have the resources" (a reply from Garmin to a user requesting support and wanting to know if a known GPSMAP 67 issue would be resolved after not being corrected for at least a year).
