There was a software update 7.70 for the DS66, 76, and 86! I just updated mine. The only change I noticed, though, was the addition of a PIN lock on the 66, that is under device. The changelog said it improved searching along route, bug fixes and also improvements though.

Yesterday I WENT ON Garmin EXPRESS there was 2 updates , 1 was x6 text version 2.0.0 file size 3.66 Mb the other was soft ware up date.My Garmin
53 ex update the soft ware first and the x6 text did not in stall.Well my
Garmin went to black and white screen . And it will not do anything but stay on that screen.I change cords tried another computer tried to go to

Finally got around to updating my DS55 since about a year back. The maps have gone up each year (2026.10 as of now) but there normally would be a firmware update as well. It's been a year since the last update and the only thing changed was a time zone fix. I was surprised to still see it at v.10.2.

First and foremost - kind of glad to see some non cell phone GPS users still out in the world! My reason for still having one is - I have a CHEAP cell phone plan and if I don't use data, it only costs like $10/month! No need to use data intensive Google Maps....

Garmin Express v7.25.0 is available for PC today.

Immediately after doing my GE update all three of my devices show eligible for a time zone update.

This version includes the following changes:

Added the ability to install the basemap if it’s not currently installed on the device.

Added support for displaying semantic versioning.

A newby question. I've got a Zumo XT, and being dirt riders, we always use tracks rather than routes, there often being no road to route, and sometimes our planned track will cross over itself, rather like a figure 8 does.

I'm playing detective, because to be honest, this bugs me a bit more than it should. It would be so much easier if Garmin gave a clear answer to this, but they haven't.

This has more to do with macOS Sequoia (at least this version) and USB Mass Storage connectivity issues with the eTrex 22x & 32x (at least) devices.

This is also more of a "How I got it to work" post than requesting help...but if someone has an actual solution for this issue (which seems to be on Apple's end after all my testing), please feel free to let us know.

For some time now, the GPX files I download from POI Factory gives a security message of not safe to save. I contacted Jon about this and thought I should pass this info on to other members . Past years I don't remember getting this security message. My browser is Brave.

I used Express to update my SD Card with this new map. However, it only downloads and installs Canada and Mexico, no USA. Is there something I am doing wrong?

So far the last update made on 24-02-02 hasn't shown up on the last 2 Garmin updates. Does anyone else have experience with this?

For the first time , tonight, I noticed all my previous recent places or addresses had been deleted and only the last two entered, were listed AND all my turns were listed as recent addresses I had driven to. What crazy thing happened?

Can someone send me a copy? During an update the device went down because of a broken battery. I fitted a new battery but the gmapbmap.img file is missing. I guess replacing the base map from a similar device that should work. It's such a waste to throw away a perfect functioning device just because an important file is missing ...

I just purchased the DriveSmart 86 and I was wondering if you can install your own POI like on the old Nuvi's with the POI loader?

Roadtrip a couple weeks ago and the trusty Nuvi 205W went to the recalibration screen.
It won't stop.
I've followed every youtube video I can find about how to get it out of the press dot loop and nothing is working.

Is there a way to save the GPS? Or (and this is more important) a way to retrieve all the years of saved addresses on it?

Garmin Express was not used as a backup for this.

I have a 1390T that had the 2025.20 map and large JCV files installed on a microSD card. I installed the new map 2026.10 today and downloaded the large JCV files posted by HarryAR yesterday. I went into the GPS System>JVC folder to rename the small file but there was no file there and the folder was empty. Anyone else notice this happening?

Yesterday the Battery on my 2011 Ford Escape Limited Opened up.

Cranked for an instant, then Clicking, then NOTHING!!!

Put a charger on battery for 15 Min: and in the meantime called the 3x closest places to sell battery's and got STICKER SHOCK!!!

All within $10...
It Started! Drove there, got $$ battery! and All was Fine!!
