Welcome / open talk

Hi from Kentucky

I stumbled onto this site from a referral by a stranger. I am planning a huge motorcycle tour of North America, which will cover most of the lower 48 states, a ride up to Alaska, a coast to coast ride across Canada, and down to Key West before returning home again.

printing photos

Does anybody know why printed photos at a pharmacy or major retailer, are terrible?

We're not talking about smartphone pics, we're talking about from my 24 MP DSLR.

I decided to send the same print to 2 places, and both were terrible, yet not the same. Colors off, streaky, and not at all the same as from the computer monitor/laptop.

Made it ON the GPS ...

My work crew made it onto my GPS ...

Recent obituary that really describes him

My local genealogy society posted this obituary. I don't know this person but from this you definitely get a sense of who this person was.

Keeping The Windmill Alive - Your Last Trip? – April 2019

In danger of losing your windmill?

Maybe you can share the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you used it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.).

Anything to keep your windmill alive.

Can't change my avatar

I'm trying to change my avatar in the account settings section here at the Factory, but without success. Here's what I do and what happens.

In Account Settings:
1. Delete old avatar and click submit. Old avatar is (apparently) deleted.
2. Choose new avatar that sits on my pc. It's 80 x 60 pixels in dimension and 8.83 kb in size. I press submit.
3. Old avatar is baaack.

Test patterns on Blue Ray disc

I’ve been working on this for a while now and
Would like to get some feedback.

I have put together a blue ray disc with test patterns for
Aligning a display. It is not a step by step with
Instructions, it assumes you know what you want to do
And know which steps need to be done.

I ran into 2 issues as I started:
1. Blue Ray authoring program defaulted to RGB

Finally added 2nd outside "Security/Critter Camera"

I picked up another HikVision DS 2CD2042WD-1 POE security camera inexpensively off Ebay last November, after determining it wasn't hacked Chinese version....

On arrival, on an Isolated Network, updated firmware to remove the infamous back door these cameras have, and configured it as a "Driveway Camera"...
