I had poi set 1 loaded into nuvi. then loaded set 2. i only see set 2 poi's now.

Well,old Nuvi held up!

On my computer I have the old v.6, or maybe it was on Microsoft Streets and Trips, I could calculate trips out and plan for more than one stop length of stop for several days in a row.
I now have nuvi 660.
Has anyone seen any progam that could be added that would give me the greater ability to plan my trips out?

What is the largest size SD card that will work with my Nuvi 200?

Can I use these POI files on a Magellan 4040?

Anybody aware of a POI for Fastrak Lanes? Direction and time of day?

How about Freeways with Carpool Lanes?

I need CA, but seems like it would be across the US.

I recently purchased a c330 at CC for $249 and absolutely love it. I'm wondering though if the custom POI's that you load will show up on the map when you are driving?

Has anyone created or konw of a POI file containing diesel fuel stations? Many of the fuel stations do not carry diesel.

I had purchased a new garmin in East Coast 4 months back.
It used to work really well. Would catch the satellite
real quick.
Recently i moved to BayArea (WestCoast) and in here
it doesnt catch the satellite at all. It takes 10 mins sometimes. But most of the time it never catches satellite.
Anybody know whats the problem is ? Does resetting help ? How to do a hard reset.

I downloaded a school file here and named it speed_20.cvs but I don't get proximity alerts and my GPS is set to give me proximity alerts...do I have to add something to the file or do I have to be traveling a certain speed to get the alert?

I was visually comparing the map rendering on my Nuvi and a Nokia E90. The Nokia uses Tele Atlas maps. It made me wonder about who is responsible for the rendering of the maps? Are the map providers in any way responsible for rendering the maps, besides just providing the data?

For those of you with the Nuvi 660. Does the latest 2008 map version with POI's include the Waffle house chain of restaurants.

A nice little program to compile POI lists. It's called POI harvester. You type what you're looking for i.e. Grocery stores, the zip code and the radius in miles you want to search and it searches Yahoo and returns a list in .csv format with lat and long, phone # and address.

I've used this program several times and it worked great.

If someone would be kind enough to post a Marina anchor symbol in the POI Icon Library it would be very much appreciated since I'm not really sure how to create my own.

Hypothetical question. If a POI file already exists on the POI-factory list, what should be done with any future submissions that seem to duplicate the category?
