I was wondering if anyone created any new Icons? I wanted to know if anyone created any characters....like Superman or even Michael Myers...that would be cool....

Has anyone tried using this Garmin POI Maker? If you have was you successful with it, and would you recommend it?

I know there have been quite a few discussions about POI Harvester. As said so well by Driven1, it is a tool. I didn’t know about POI Harvester, before I set out to learn a new tool kit for some work related projects so I decided to create an application to gather POI information using the Yahoo! Local Search V2 services. The Get Me My POIs application as stated uses the Yahoo!

I'm having a problem downloading sound files to my computer from this site. I cannot save or save as. What am I doing wrong? Can someone help, thanks.

I downloaded the red light cameras about a year ago. Now I have a yearly subscription and downloaded the updated file. I have the POI's saved in the following folder: My Documents/My Garmin/Custom POI.

I have a NUVI 350, and when trying to create line breaks, placing br with the chicken beeks where I want the break at, the NUVI reads it as text when going by the place or selecting it as a destination.
The line breaks where I want, but how do I get around the NUVI reading it as text?

Unread Posts has a new feature that lets you hide forums that don't match your interests.

This setting only affects the unread posts page. Posts from all forums are still visible in other areas of the site.

When you're logged in, you can visit Unread Posts and click "Forum Preferences" to set forums as hidden.

This site lets you convert coords and see a map of the location. If you see that it is off on the map you can click on the map and get the coords of where you clicked.

I've installed an update to the "Unread Posts" feature this evening.

The functionality is pretty much the the same, but the screen layout has changed to display the forum for each topic and show the topic's full title.

Does anyone remember whar web site lets you type in an address and then it creates the way points or longitutde and latitude for you- Traveling to two different Super 8 Motels - 1- 135 Hotel Dr, Clarion PA 16214 - and 450 west 3rd St, Mifflinville PA 18631- My Nuvi 350- does not recognize addresses. I have the old version of Mapping- not the latest one

I've never tried this, but if you don't want to put the POI's permanent in your GPS, couldn't you just load them on a SD card, and use from that, then just remove the card when finished with the POI's. This may negate using the POI loader. Just a thought. My cards are full of photos or I'd try it.

This is the place to talk about things that are not gps related, you can discuss whatever you would like, as long as it is clean. Remember we have families that have their children involved in the GPS fun and we don't want to make parents feel uncomfortable when their children ask what that word means.

I received a C340 for Christmas and I am enoying it. I wanted an easier way to put in a bunch of addresses so I wrote a little online app to help me create POI files.
