In case anyone is interested I just ordered a new Garmin 2450LM from Walmart for $198 and $3 to ship. Lowest price I could find from a reliable source. Sounds like it is now the top of the line even over the 37XX series based on several reviews I have read. It also comes as a 2460LT and 2460LMT but I was not interested in traffic or blue tooth..

I don't know how he is able to keep up with all the emails he gets, but he does and we love him for it.

This topic is directed towards Miss POI. I used to be a fairly active member of the forums contributing discussion as well as poi files to the site. Since then I got a smart phone and hardly ever use my computer anymore which is where I did all of my poi factory activities.

The AFLAC duck was voiced by Gilbert Gottfried. He was fired by AFLAC for making insensitive jokes about the Tsunami in Japan. They are looking for a new voice.

Also it is not his real voice. It's an act. His real voice is actually very low and mellow. Google his name and "Howard Stern" and view the YouTube clip of him speaking in his 'real' voice.

i just got a new windows 7 computer and my poi loader will not recognise any .csv files in folder!......whats up with that?

In the March 2011 issue of Roundel, page 29, in the upper right column, there was a reference to a new study that suggests that those "who talk on their cell phones while driving may be safer drivers.

I was reading a news article about about the progress of a bill in the Alabama legislature that proposes to ban texting while driving. On page 2 of the article, the author reported the following:

“On Jan. 1, 2010, in Colorado a law banning the manual entry of data into electronic devices while driving went into effect.

Can anyone recommend a reliable and speedy GPS repair facility?

I dropped my 3 mo. old Tom Tom and the screen cracked.

Several years ago there was some discussion on the POI Factory forum about celebrity voices for the GPS and Gary Busey's name was mentioned. Well, for better or worse it's happened.
