Smart phone app - Tapatalk

This topic is directed towards Miss POI. I used to be a fairly active member of the forums contributing discussion as well as poi files to the site. Since then I got a smart phone and hardly ever use my computer anymore which is where I did all of my poi factory activities.

On my phone (an android phone) I have an application called Tapatalk (iPhone, blackberry, windows phone 7 and webOS users have the same app) which allows me to keep up with the forums I am a member of. From my phone I can read through the forums and write replies. I would love to be able to do this with POI factory as well. To be able to, Miss POI would have to enable this forum with tapatalk. To do this you just have to go to www.tapatalk.com and click on the Forum Owners button at the top. From there you can enable support for this forum on that app and I can once again be an active member smile. Im sure there are other members with smart phones who would also love to be able to do this. There is a free version of the app which only allows you to read posts and not respond but the payed version which is only a couple of bucks allows you to fully participate by reading as well as submitting replies.

So what do you think Miss POI? Pretty please? smile And how about other members? Would you all be interested in this as well? Please chime in smile. Thanks!

This would be a good move since we now have a smart phone forum and would be a good enabler for it. It may even bring more membership from an untapped user base.

Miss POI

Thank you thank you!

And yes, it is possible to use your phones browser but an app like tapatalk makes it so so so much easier to follow your favorite forums. I'm looking forward to hearing more on this matter smile

TapaTalk

Was there ever any news on this request to configure the forums to work with TapaTalk. Most of my posting on other forums is via this app and would like to be able to do the same here if possible.

Thanks

I don't see the need, myself.

Sent from my BlackBerry browser.

I don't see the need either.

I don't see the need either. I read & update about 50% of the time from a Firefox browser on my Galaxy S5.

TapaTalk

Is there some ill effect to the forums by turning on TapaTalk access that would affect users whom don't want to use TT?

I also have accessed the forums via my phones web browser but much prefer to use TT as it simplifies the viewing and replying, etc.

.

Perhaps the simplest way to do it would be to have a mobile browser version of the site. That might create a coding nightmare for JM, though.

The free version does, the paid version doesn't ( but the $4.99 to get rid of the ads like to broke me though smile )

Wow

I didn't know that it was around that long. That is the Taptalk app. I use it quite regular and enjoy its ease of use fast.
