I was curious what is the jack that is located on the power cable for my Nuvi 765T used for?

I have two issues with the latest softwar update.

When I open POI Loader and the window for save options comes open all I have to choose from is Garmin Device or Custom Folder. There is no Mapsource option available. How do I get this option to appear in the save option window? All help will be appreciated.

Nuvi 750--- Is it possible to be located in city "A" and do a search In city "B",e.g. motels??

Does anyone know the max number of "stops", when creating a route, you can have on the Garmin nuvi 1490T? I read their manual and I cant find it anywhere?

Ok.....I confess my ignorance and have to ask a very stupid question.

How do I get an Alert Sound from the POI list to the directory on my computer where I store the POI files?? I'm sure this is something that too most is very simple.......I'm just not getting it, please help!

It's been well over a year since I did my last map update. I noticed today that Garmin has streamlined the process compared to a year ago, and it takes less time than before. I was a vocal critic last year. While it still takes some time, mostly due to the slow transfer of the very large map file to the GPS itself, things are much better than they were. At least in my observation.

Just got back from Maui. While there, I had problem entering the address of hotel. The GPS requires the user to enter the city first. In this case Wailea. But it came back with an error message that Wailea could not be found. (This is a well known hotel that has been there for years.)

Noticed something today that I never noticed before on the 765T.

I use the MP3 palyer all the time and have about 450 tracks on an SD card that I just allow to play in a shuffle mode all the time.

The MP3 player screen shows the current track and the next 2 in line to play, but the last one it shows in line to play does not get played as the player re-shuffles after every track change.

Greetings all....I purchased a Nuvi 255WT 8-10 weeks ago at Best Buy, Lewisville, Texas and I like it very much, however the unit has not been without problems. On many occasions the unit malfunctioned (froze up) when I diverted from the route displayed on the screen. I had the same problem while driving in Miami Florida, and various parts of Texas.

Another week, another firmware update from Garmin.

I'm not sure if this update applies for 13xx & 14xx series.

I have done several searches here but don't see anything about a way to adjust/increase the Bluetooth volume level on the 885t.

Turboccc's program won't do it in spite of his program being brilliant for adjustments of TTS voices.

Has anyone seen any method to increase the BlueTooth volume ?

I’m planning a trip from Ontario, CN to Los Angeles, CA. It’s a trip I’ve taken several times.

I wouldn't think so, as it's electronic, but I get an error about an accessory is not supported? It takes longer to find a satellite, and the battery is totally shot (that is understandable, but why it's not removable is beyond me). Are you listening Garmin? I refuse to buy a new one just because! LOL Plus the Droid X is just as good as a navi.

Well don't know if anyone has had this problem before or not. I have a Garmin Quest2 on my motorcycle and just the other day it started to lose satalite reception off and on. It would get it back but others riding with me didn't have that problem all be it they didn't have a Quest2. Any suggestions?

I'm trying to load the rest area's for Michigan with an outhouse pic and a sound. When you go down the road it doesn't show the pic or play the audio. If I push on the map where I can manually select points it shows the outhouse. Am I doing something wrong? Or doesn't it do it? Thanks

Is there any way to show (or find out) what bridge you are driving on for the 765T?

On Nuvi 1340, is there any way in which you can see the whole route in map form prior to departure? Just like to have some idea of the route before I leave. I will eventually get to grips with this technology.
