nuvi 885t Bluetooth Volume Level

Are you asking if there is a separate buletooth volume?

I think that the volume of the bluetooth is determined by the volume setting of the GPS itself - they are one and the same.

I couldn't find any separate volume button control for Bluetooth. I was hoping that someone had a method of pushing up the Bluetooth volume with some sort of Hack/Modification similar to the TTS volume hack that Turboccc has written.

On the main menu,
Press the volume button
Press the mixer button
Adjust the "Phone" volume

I have a 765T. When I read RickLeb's instructions, I looked in my manual. It said about the mixer

"to adjust the volume levels for the voice prompts, the media player, and the phone, touch Mixer. Adjust the levels as needed."

HOWEVER, my 765 give me - under Mixer - options to adjust Master, Navigation, and Media -- but not Phone.

The mixer menu on my 885T has Voice,Media, and Phone

Perhaps a firmware update changed your menu at sometime. I guess we can assume that when your 765 was new, that the menu agreed with the manual.

I am still looking for some hidden tweaks for the bluetooth.

The phone volume plays a part in all this as well.

Thanks....Yes.. I know. I am looking for a tweak for the Bluetooth volume... the overall master phone volume is up to maximum, but the Bluetooth volume is still too low to hear easily.

Sounds as if it is time to use an external appliance. That's what I'm planning. My experience with Bluetooth on the 885 is abysmal.

Other than the volume level, the bluetooth works farily well for me.

But I can hardly hear it !

My experience is complaints about not being heard and the low volume from the unit had me concentrating more on the unit than the road. An earpiece fixed that problem, but I loose the ability to dial from the GPS.

I called garmin about the blutooth volume they told me that the 885T will work with your cell you have to make sure your cell is compatible. I have the droid x and its not.
