I have been interested in the Garmin Rino GPS radio since I first heard about them. I bought a pair at Cabelas a couple of days ago and decided to give them a try. I topped off the batteries for both of them, selected a GMRS channel and PL Code. I also made sure that each one had selected 5 watts.

My old Nuvi 1490LMT just gave up on me right before my vacations so I bought an 58LMT to replace it. I had some itiniraries that I had prepared using Garmin Basecamp which I uploaded to the new device, so far so good.

I am getting ready to visit Ireland so I ordered an SD Card with Europe and Ireland for my Garmin Nuvi 260W.

I have an old Street Pilot I3 that I use on my motorcycle and it worked just fine. It has a 2 GB micro SD card and I was trying to download some custom POI's. I believe I inadvertently erased on the folders/files on the micro sd card and it appears I have rendered the whole unit useless. Under food, hotels and more it only has custom points.

Got a nice new garmin drive assist. I have the Rest Areas combined poi-factory file and have an alert to sound 2 miles out for me to get into the right lane if I decide I need a break. However, every time the alert chimes, my garmin thinks that I've suffered an "event" and the dash cam footage automatically saves.

Is there any way to have a Garmin nuvi 57 (or similar models) repeat a spoken voice instruction, in the event I didn't hear it or fully understand it?

I checked the Garmin FAQ, and tried searching these forums, but did not find an answer.

Being new here (and have not read every post...yet) I am attempting to contribute and I have not seen a lot of discussion on the Automotive Classed Units (I have a ZUMO 550) and this link was worthwhile to me and may be to others.(The list has been updated as of 02/18/2016)

I have a Garmin NAV 5 which is the same as a Nuvi665 with BMW files already loaded.
How do I confirm my RLC and Speed camera POI's are loaded?
How do I change the distance and speed alert for the POIs
How does the alert function, Is it on the map? Separate Icon? I know I can set the tone that is all I saw for adjustments.

Had an interesting weekend with my 2597. Planned a last minute road trip to Boston from Ottawa, ON, so went about setting up a route on the device, however, could not choose anything in Boston (or Mass). Found what I wanted under cities, selected GO, but it took a long time to calculate the route; ended up being an additional 2000km, taking me to northern Quebec, Maine and New Hanpshire.

Just updated Garmin Express to 4.1.26 for OS X. Downloaded when I opened GE today. No problems encountered.

I particularly like the Up Ahead feature in my 2598. Initially, it worked fine. After a while, the Rest Areas feature stopped working. The other selections (ie: gas stations and restaurants) do work and continuously display changing distances. Rest Areas displays nothing. When clicked, no rest areas populate the screen.

Garmin Express 4.1.26 is out ,seems to be set up different? Maybe it is just my PC.

Just tried to install 2017.2 on an SD card, however, neither Garmin Express or MapUpdater recognize the card.

Had no trouble formatting or copying necessary files from my 855.

I've done this many times before, however first time with Win10.

Today, I got email from Garmin informing me that Nuvicam software version 3.30 has fixed the iphone 6 Bluetooth connectivity issues. When I powered on my Nuvicam, I saw the message for software update. This was regarding my ticket opened with them for a year.

Updated the software but they fixed bluetooth issue in the previous release 3.20. So not sure what they did in this update?

Anyone know when the new Garmin map updates come out for the Garmin USA / North America iPhone app? It's still showing 2016.10 maps when 2017.20 maps are out for the Garmin GPS units. Seems to me they would release an update more frequently especially to compete with other apps like Waze, Google, MapQuest, etc.

Can you download a Route from Google Map to a GPS>

I've had my Garmin Nuvi 2689 for nearly a year now. I normally use it as a rolling map at work while I drive, no set route, it's just on.

I have programmed it to find places, mostly an intersection somewhere many times.

Recently I had a route programmed in and saw an odd (to me) junction view along the route.

I recently had to upgrade my PC to Windows 10. Initially, my Nuvi drive and SD card showed up and Garmin Express recoginzed the device. However, today, the device/drives are not recognized.

Any comments/suggestions out there in Garminville?

Recently, we had some discussion about Alternative Mount Ideas. Coincidentally, my wife was riding in my car with me recently and she complained about not being able to adjust the air vent because I was using Garmin Air Vent Mount to hold my Garmin Nuvi 3597.
