I have a 2730 and a 7500. The 2730 came with the GXM30 XM antenna/receiver.

I drive a car that has XM radio built into it and I have a paid subscription for the car radio.

According to Garmin, I am supposed to be able to pay to subscribe to the NavTRaffic for the GXM30/2730 as a stand alone service as long as I have one paid subscription.

i got the nuvi 350 last week and have actually browsed through the PDF manual. i've been playing with it some and have some questions which i haven't found answers to yet:

1. when viewing the map while NOT on a route, it will sometimes zoom in and sometimes zoom out. does anyone know how it decides when to do this? is there a way to know what zoom level you're at on this screen?

The Moderator over at the forum on GPSmagazine.com posted a little tidbit here saying, "BTW - Garmin is expected to release updated maps within a month or so."

So, if anyone here hears more - please share. :)

I just recently purchased my Garmin streetpilot I5 unit thinking it was the latest of the I series models and Garmin just added it to its discontinued model list. Is it that bad of a unit, because so far I love it.

On the left side of my Nuvi 350 there is a white arrow. Can anyone tell me what is the little white arrow on the screen for? Sometimes it will be facing up, down left or right. Thanks a Lot.

I was surprised when I noticed the price had been dropping on these units and now I know why.. They have been discontinued! They are terrific basic units and a good deal.

Really don't know if I'm in the right spot??
Recently d'ld free Mapsource from Garmin. When I run it I get the following " No mapsource data found." I have the C530 hooked up to the computer. Is this "free" file a stand alone program or do I need something else. I have an email into Garmin requesting a MapSource CD as mentioned somewhere here.

Has anyone had an issue with the cigarette lighter charger not connecting? I have to align it just so for it to make contact. The slightest bump and the unit goes into battery mode.

I have tried it on two cars and the same result. My ipod charger has no issues.

I was in the parking lot of a park in my area last week, and decided to save it as a favorite in my c330. The next day, when I tried to have the GPS navigate me there, it got as far as taking me down a dead end before saying "arriving at destination". The parking lot where I had marked the location was across a field from the end of the dead end.

I just picked up a nuvi 350 and was wondering how secure the mount is. I am thinking about using it on my motorcycle in conjunction with the dash mount disk that came with it. Anyone had any experience with how secure the mount that comes with it is?

Hey guys. This is my first time here. I have a problem w/ my unit and wanted to know if anyone else had the same problem. I have the Nuvi 350, and I purchased it almost 2mos ago due to 90% business travel. Just recently I get a msg on the screen that says "lost signal". So I turned it off then on and still no signal. I pushed the reset button and turned it back on. Still no signal.

i have the nuvi 350. i just started looking into the proximity alert feature. this first thing i noticed was that the proximity alarms button is missing from my system settings menu. my menu has only four buttons: "waas/egnos", "safe mode", "garmin lock" and "touch tones". that's it. no "proximity alarms" button.

i'm running system v4.40, gps sw v2.90

Curious as to what other C580 or Nuvi 680 users think so far about the MSN direct functionality? I-10 has been shut down since the 13th of April and MSN direct isn't picking it up.

I just bought an A-Data 8GB SDHC card and filled with up with 1000 MP3s. Now when I boot the Garmin with the card in the slot the unit freezes and I have to hit the reset button on the back of the unit to turn off the GPS.
Anyone else have this problem?

Don't expect Garmin to do this, but I just sent them a request for a new feature in Mapsource.

Right now, I see no way to open more than one file at the same time. The design of the GPS and Mapsource, however, cause us to create Custom POI files along with our route/waypoint file.

Is anyone else having a problem with the new loaders not taking the *.BMPs from the file? I uploaded new POIs into the C330 I have abd the *.BMPs disappeared. Backed up to loader 232 and it reloaded the files and the BMPs for each file!

I just upgraded from a Streetpilo c330 to the Nuvi 350. Couldn't be happier. I do have a question for any Nuvi owners out there.

The voice output seems to not be as clear on the Nuvi especially as the volume is turned up. Could it be that the c330 had a better speaker in it or are the voices not as clear on the Nuvi.

I have a C340 and am curious if there is a way to change the amount of time prior to a turn that the unit will notify you? It seems like the unit won't say, "turn at x" until I'm about 200 feet away from the turn. At higher speeds, that just isn't enough warning. I'd like to modify it so it warns me of a turn when I'm about 400 or 500 feet prior to the turn.

OK - more geekdom coming out. I just used a little program to record mp3 files from a mic plugged into the computer. I recorded warnings for speed traps, red lights and school zones and loaded through poi loader. I just tried it through the "simulutor" since it is a little late here. Worked perfectly for the speed traps and red light cameras.
