External Mic and External Sound?

Does anyone know if you can have both the ext. mic connected and have ext sound connection?

I currently have my Nuvi connected using the RCA Aux port to my car stereo. I have been contemplating using the ext mic. I noticed the ext mic uses the same jack as the Aux port connection.

Can I use both? Do they make a cable that will support audio out (L/R channel) and audio in?

The mic. plugs into the base of the 'cradle'. The manual confused me as well smile

On the 360

The external mic input is on the mounting cradle - you don't use the headphone jack.

And yes, you can use an external mic plugged into the cradle and have the sound going through the car stereo - works great. I do the same thing with my 660...and the best sound I've achieved is using the external mic and sound through my vehicle's audio system.

Mounting Cradle

Ah,

Thank you both for your response.

But, I am still confused... The only connection I recall on the cradle is for the power for the cig lighter. I will look closer tonight.

With the unit on the cradle

Look on the right side, and around the back of the unit, kind of at eye level to the headphone jack, you should see the mic jack on the cradle.
