Garmin talk

I wonder if I can write off my GPS that I use for work has a Tool device?
I could not do with out the GPS for work.Gets me places for road calls,safe and fast.
I can't find my way out of a Brown paper bag without my GPS for work.

Garmin Mobile XT comes on a 2GB microSD card. Is it possible and legal to copy the card to a 4GB card and use the card for both Mobile XT and data?

I've noticed that when using the picture viewer, it's incredibly slow to load thumbnails, and then when you select a picture, it takes a while to load, and then disappears back to thumbnail mode within 3 seconds.

Any known issues with the picture viewer or am I screwing something up here that I don't realize?

Are there any video formats that will play on the nuvi 660 or does it only display .jpg still immages?

Is there someone with the firmware 2.70 version for the Nuvi200W.

With this version tracking is available for the Nuvi200W.

I think they are not very durable..........I am on my third one in less then a year.......so I hope everyone who gets a good deal or buys them on ebay gets the extra warranty...........Dave

I have a garmin c330 and want to load canada and upper states 2008 update maps to my unit and load the lower 48 states to a sd card how do i do this as would like to be able to use and view both areas.

does anyone have a nuvi 5000 or know about it ?

ive got a c330,ive read that you can add/delete files from from the unit through the computer ,but i go to my computer to find the unit and it is not there.how do i find where it is, i do have it plugged into the usb port and it is turned on but cant find it anywhere,when i called garmin for advice they told me to go to my comp.and it should show it ,but it doesnt please help,thank you in advance!

how does my nuvi let me know of an upcoming camera?.....I have no sounds yet...

Trying to load safety cameras and red light speed camers file......can't find .csv or .gpx file in browse button.....I see them in my docs as excel files but are not recognozed by loader.....they downloaded as correct files but only show as excel....any ideas?

Where can I load those files on the Nuvi 770, can I place them in a directory on the Nuvi drive?

My nuvi 360 has default mp3 "Genre" categories such as Classical, Electronic, etc. Does anyone know how to create or add to these categories and if files on the sd card can be placed in existing or new categories?

I put a file on the sd card and when I select Genre, it appears in the "Unknown" category. Huh?

Just bought my NUVI 680 and have a question. When I connect it to the AC charger, the unit comes on automatically just as if I pushed the power button.

Is this normal?
When I push the power button when AC charging, the quick settings volume & brightness appear.

I did a search and couldn't find any info on this.

Hi, I am a new GPS user, just purchased a Nuvi 260 and was wondering why certain older businesses did not show up while newer locations of the same chain (name) appeared. Any help appreciated, Thanks!

I know Garmin wants you to buy a new unit for everyone they make, and I'm glad they are making new ones, but I see alot of people with 6xx angry they couldnt upgrade to certain features of the 7xx, and now so quickly release the 8xx. What are we supposed to do sell our used ones for half, and pay top dollar for each new one.

I have the Language Pack installed on my Nuvi 770, when I deleted all of the extra languages from the voice directory to make extra room, I had lost all the spoken feature of the Language Pack.
Does anyone know which languages should be left undeleted in the "Voice" directory so that the Language Pack is not affected.

I downloaded poiedit to my PC. Now when I download csv files from this site instead of being in excel they are in the poiedit format as are all other POIs on my computer. Now the problem. The excel files have 4 columns--Lat, Lon, Name, and address. However the poiedit files only have 3 columns--lat,lon,and address. The name is missing. What am I missing or is that just the way it is.

A new user here again. Is it posible to add new vehicles such as the Navi_girl.srf to a Nuvi 200 for use in pedestria mode?

If so, how? Does the POI-LOADER hadle that too?
