Changes made from version 5.50 to 5.60:
Added menu options to the dog list to clear the dog tracks and hide active dog tracks for DriveTrack 70 devices.
Added the dog list to the map tools for DriveTrack 70 devices.
Improved the Topo Map tool on DriveTrack 70 devices by adding a list of maps instead of switching between street and topo maps.

I have a Garmin Drive 60 on a Windows 7 pro computer. It connects to the computer as a portable device (shows up in Device Manager)and not as a drive. Therefore Garmin Express, POI Loader, etc, will not recognize it. It does this on both my Windows 7 computers. This happened since the last map update. Before that it connected to both computers as a drive.

Would anyone know the battery part number for a Garmin 3597 GPS.

Anyone going to CES 2018 this week? I will be flying out midweek so hopefully I'll get a chance to see the new stuff. If I see anything worth noting, I will post it here.

I know that this has been discussed in the past, but now that I have both a Garmin Nuvi 3597 and a Garmin DriveLuxe 51, it is rekindling my interest.

I have been away for awhile and have not seen anything about the next Garmin map update. Is it close? I cant even find anything about map updates anymore on the Garmin site.

Having a problem with my Nuvi 660.

The battery discharges in a short period of time even when the unit is off. Charges in a normal fashion. It's not the battery. Installed new battery, same issue. Reinstalled old battery, same time to discharge as with new battery. It's like the unit is not actually shutting down, but it is. Restart has normal boot pattern and time.

Any ideas?

Anybody hear any rumors as to what is in store for the Garmin series in 2018? It appears that they have started to slow down their releases and there wasn't a lot different between the 50/60 series and the 51/61 series.

I looked at all previous posts, with no help. Here are the symptoms. Switch on, loads Garmin screen, then "loading maps" screen, then the white line that is supposed slowly turns green, only mine doesn't turn green! It just shuts off! Argh! Help

Been a long while since posting on this forum, due to the fact the car I recently purchased had a built in GPS. Had to drive to LA over the holidays and realized how much I missed my old 3790 (which died).

OK, just upgraded from a Nuvi1350 to Drive 60 LMT.(Canada & US maps)
I did find out how to transfer saved locations to new unit using Garmin Express. But not sure if I can add my old or any POI's as I don't see a fold like "EXTRAS" on the older unit.

My Nuvi 1390T has developed an annoying issue with the zoom function. Auto-zoom seems to be working fine when the unit is routing, but in the non-routing mode it will randomly zoom way out. I can manually zoom it back in to a reasonable scale, but in a short time it will have zoomed back out again.

I posted this in another thread in response to a question on battery life. A lot of this is just common sense but in light of the recent questions, I decided it warrants a topic of its own.

Recently purchased a DriveSmart 51 & 51 to replace our aging nuvi 2460s. I've got two questions that I'm afraid I already know the answers to. Hopefully I'm just missing something.

Is there a way to have the GPS show routing with and without toll roads, or at least ask if you want to use toll roads when routing.

I'm new to Garmin and my TomTom would always ask if I want to use toll roads.

On the way home last night driving down I95 my 3597 had me paralleling I95 off road about 350 feet to the west. Took the exit to US1 and the 3597 had me a block east into the neighborhood. Happened once before a couple of years ago.

I used it yesterday and it worked fine. This morning, wouldn't turn on, either in the car or connected to PC.

New map CN EU 2018.30 NTU just released.

I have a Garmin dezl760LM and I installed a 8GB Sandisk micro DS card in the slot. Now what? Is there a way to format it in the GPS? It isn't seeing the card now and when I hook the GPS to the computer is shows the internal storage is pretty full with a suggestion to add more memory via a card.
