Rv Gps

I've always wanted one but couldn't justify the price. I'm finding myself driving past quite a few Fuel station because of my Length.
Although we have truck stop poi's, most of the time you can't refuel your rig there. From the tip of the truck to the back of the trailer i am 60'. My question for you people who have rv Gps's does it tell you which fuel stations you can get your rig into.I see it tells you services and such but don't see fuel stations. Sounds like a stretch anyways...lol

No, it doesn't. What you are

No, it doesn't. What you are really needing is one of the Dezl, or RV series. they can be had refurbished from several sites.

AT your length, you aren't going to find many "gas" stations that can handle your length.

Sorry can't help

But I can't help to notice that quite often on the back of the semi-trailer it says 53', so that plus the tractor surely is 60' plus? Then what about the semis who haul two trailers, surely they are far longer than 60'!
Just wondering?

Yes, they are. In some

Yes, they are. In some midwest and western states, triples are allowed, and in New England, double 53' trailers are allowed.

If you want to get thuroughly confused, read here. Especially page 2. https://ops.fhwa.dot.gov/freight/publications/size_regs_fina...

They are way longer because as you said you need to add the Truck, so that a minimum of 20' on top, if he has a sleeper it could be more

Sort of. If you get an RV

Sort of. If you get an RV GPS, it will present and lead you to services that fit your vehicle. You have to fill out the profile on the unit.

Start here;
https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/cOnTheRoad-c518-p1.html

Also go to http://www.gpscity.com, https://www.thegpsstore.com for refurb units. Most are in OEM boxes with OEM warranty. You can also find more choices at https://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=gps+sal...

I used both the RV units and Dezl units and found both were very good and Low Clearances, Route Restrictions, and services equipped to handle your size rig.

Hmm...

My diesel pusher is 40' and with the tow hitch and PT cruiser behind, I've got to be well over 55'. I rely HEAVILY on "Truck_Fuel_Stops" and I've never had a problem. I just go straight in the truck entrance and get in line. I take my credit card to the counter, "authorize $200 on pump 22" and after fueling, I pull forward to the line before returning to the cashier for a receipt.

My rig is shorter than most trucks and a lot of other RV's that I see back there, and there's always space for nice wide turns, with no backing necessary.

I know the prices and where to buy...what i don't know if it will tell me that this or that station can or cannot handle my Length. It doesn't actually say that it does on the website. It says services but it doesn't include fuel stations in that list.
All you said is "Sort of"...lol.
I don't feel like backing out to where i came from after i fuel up either

No, it won't tell you if

No, it won't tell you if your vehicle will fit. What it will do is show you mostly the truck fuel stops that can accommodate your size vehicle.

Costco review

This was for a rv 660lmt. Translation from french to english
This guy had a 5th wheel

After a month of use including a trip to New York, I do not recommend the Garmin RV 660 LMT for a Fifth Wheel or an RV. This model is definitely suitable for tractor trailers (commonly called a "van"). Even with the right length, width, height, and weight settings of my Fifth Wheel, he recommends a return on my 12 km (24 round trip) to continue my original route, probably to avoid passing under a viaduct. Of note, I regularly go on this viaduct with this equipment. At the customs, he suggests me to circumvent the usual islets to pass on the bypass lane reserved for heavy trucks ("van"). Me, I return it.
