Hi Factory,

I desperately need the assistance of an electrician.

I do not want to burn up some electronics but if my acessory chargers all say input of 100V-240V, can they be used on 220 Euro outlets with just an adapter plug or do I need to drop down the current from 220 to 110V? I would prefer not to fry my computer, garmin, phone, camera etc....

Is there a way in the 660 to set a speed alarm off if I would go over a set speed? I'm not talking about any speed traps.

I am a senior with a NUVI 850 and still learning about POI etc so may not understand how things work. I just returned from a short trip. I had uploaded several different POI folders using the latest Garmin POI loader. They all appeared in the Custom POI section for the NUVI. The rest areas along the interstate all showed an alert and sound. None of the others worked however.

I use my C550 both in my car and on my motorcycle. When it's on my motorcycle, I tried not to have to plug in the cigarette lighter adapter if I could (too many wires.) Today is the first time I took it out on a motorcycle trip. I fully charged it the night before and it lasted only about 2h 30 min before it shut down itself.

it would be nice to know nearest subway stops for all cities world wide organized by country.

I was browsing ebay, when I came across an ad. for a firm in the UK, that has a fixed fee Nüvi repair service.

Of all the things they say that can fix, one thing caught my eye: they claim to be able to recover from lost "Pin Codes"!!

They state that the bluetooth will not function afterwards, so that would be something to watch out for, if buying a 2nd hand unit...

I'm going to a concert tomorrow, and I would like to use my NUVI 350 to help me find my way back to my car.

Has anyone had any experience using the nuvi 350 in this way?

I seem to remember my Nuvi 200 had a Pedestrian or Bicycle or Car option.
I cant seem to find that on the 350.

I have the Nuvi 660 , I know how to download a POI file but cannot download a alert (MP3) to go with it.
Can anyone help me with this?

I just had by car broken into (window smashed) and my Nuvi 680 was stolen. Any way to remotely disable it or do anything to recover it??

anyone here use this model? my uncle DLed the red light files.. he said it just beeped... but no mp3 voice audio which we downloaded. or is this just for voice activated models (like the nuvi 660 that i use)?

My garmin is haunted!

Sometimes (not always) when I am driving on the roads (not highways), I get a "Turn left on Washington Boulevard". Once I turn left, instead of "Drive 0.8 Miles and turn left on Figueroa Street", it just says "Continue 0.8 miles and turn left". It completely neglects to name the street, and I have to hit the top green navigation menu to see what street to turn on.

I keep trying to install the futureshop POI (for Canada), as well as the best buy ones - but for some reason, when i go to my nuvi350 and search either name, nothing in my city comes up, even though i have verified that the poi files contain the locations here in town...

So, what am I doing wrong?

Hi everyone - new member here.

I recently picked up a nuvi 350 and I am concerned about how long it takes to lock on a signal upon startup. I turn it on in my underground parking, and when i leave, it takes 3-4 blocks to get a signal and then a few more to remove that 'awaiting better accuracy' signal. .. is this normal? Should I be starting it up after i get out from underground?

Well, the wife and I are off to Niagara-on-the-Lake for a little culture and R and R. We'll be using Jack to get us there...perhaps. When I programmed in the address of where we're staying, I used the simulation feature to see the suggested route. I'm in Cleveland, so I expected Jack to take us all the way on I-90 to Buffalo and then north on I-190 over the Lewiston Bridge and on to NOTL.

It seems Garmin have added 'Custom Voice' creation to their "Content Toolkit".
