Transfer "favorites" file

I just bought a new Garmin nuvi 260w to replace my old Garmin c340. Is there a way to transfer my "favotites" file from the c340 to the nuvi?

PS: The c340 still works fine, I just wanted to update to a newer model.

you can but you have to buy

you can but you have to buy mapsource- call garmin, 15 bucks for the disk. loads to your computer, will receive info off hte c340, and allow to put it on the 260.
c340 is not mass storage so does not create a drive on the computer

.

Use EasyGPS

There is a free program that will do the same thing for you. It can be found here:

Current.gpx

If you just copy over the current.gpx file, won't that accomplish the same thing?

Nuvi 660 -- and not upgrading it or maps until Garmin fixes long-standing bugs/problems, and get maps to where they are much more current, AND corrected on a more timely basis when advised of mistakes.

I don't believe the C340 shows up as a drive.

Thanks....

I used the free EasyGPS program and it worked great. It's also comforting to know I now have my POIs stored on my computer just in case the GPS ever crashes...or vise versa.

Thanks all for the advice.
