I have the 660, does it make much of a difference to install a roof antenna on my car?

I searched the FAQ and didn't find an answer to this question.

Q: What would happen if you loaded two speed camera files speed_cameraX.gpx and speed_cameraZ.gpx that had duplicate locations and ran with it?

Would the alerts function as normal?

does anybody know why the description doesnt show on a nuvi 670 if it is fairly long. short ones work ok, long ones dont show up at all. i have the latest software version.

I would greatly appreciate it if someone could tell me how to determine what PCB version I have in my Garmin Nuvi 760.

im getting crashes/unit hangs and lockups more often with the red light camera pois turned on. evidently the gps doesnt like it when its navigating/recalculating and alerting to pois at the same time. it usually happens when i get an alert at the same time its showing a zoomed up view of a turn and doing a recalc because i missed the turn. the system log says abnormal termination.

I was looking at some files that might be of interest for an upcoming trip. Some of them were only available as a GPX file. When I look around the directories on my 255W I do see exactly one GPX file. I don't think I put it there. What I wonder is can I download the GPX file from this site and then just copy it to where I found the other GPX file already on the unit.

I downloaded redlight and speed cameras and its been working great but,I would like to get some help on how to load icons and sounds on my Nuvi760.
I followed the webb instruction on the POI and when I tested the 760 , I did not have any change except I not only didn,t see the icon or the sound now it won,t alert with the 2 dings that it had before. What did I do wrong .

Have any fellow-owners of the 260W out there updated their Nüvi with the software Version 4.0? I did, and haven't noticed any significant changes, up or down. But then I haven't tested it that much. Would like to 4.0 hear user comments... Thanks.

I need some help with my Garmin 670 (not 760!). I have 2 problems:

1) I tried to add new Custom POIs via POI Loader. However, despite following the directions diligently from this site (http://www.poi-factory.com/node/8536), my Custom POIs do not appear! Not only that the Custom POIs that I tried to create appears under my Favorites!

I tried creating a wav file using PCM, 44.100 kHZ., 16 bit, Mono and used the same name as the csv and bmp files just had the wav file extension different and I could not get it to play on my Nuvi 260. Is there something else (i.e. proximity settings) that has to be included?
Any help would be appreciated.

I'm trying to create a custom poi of all the boat landings in SC. So far I have done 193 on the computer but when I download them to my nuvi on 125 are downloading to it. Does my nuvi have a limit on custom poi's?

I've deleted the poi's and retried it and I'm still getting the same results.

The GPS Toolbar is designed to work with NEMA 'sentences' which are designed to be communicated via serial, or RS-232 communication. Since the Garmin is a USB device, it is not technically supported. However, you can successfully connect to the GPS Toolbar using the following steps:

I have a Nuvi 760 just purchased in September. Note, there is no Traffic service available where I live. In none of the screens in Tools, or Settings does there appear any references to Traffic. Nor in the About screen is there any reference to traffic.

I have a thin blue line (looks like a set path) going from my house in SE Michigan to Arizona where I have been playing with simulator POI's etc.

What is it and how do I get rid of it?

Saw this posted at GPS review forum and may explain why I notice, and from other people's observations also, that every once in a while I see a much longer map loading delay. Also see why I should just let it complete and not shut off and restart.

Just made a somewhat long trip via Amtrak from Indianapolis to Albuquerque and back.

Here are the trip log comparisons I came up with my 750.
Definitions:
Trip Log - The one that is available on the 750
when bought.

Hidden Trip Log - The one where you have to
downgrade to software version 2.3 to activate.

Harley-Davidson has finally come out with their branded Zumo. I've had my Zumo 550 for about 18 months and it works great so I have no desire to buy another one. What the HD one has that would be very handy, is that is is pre-loaded with HD dealerships as POIs and that could come in handy on a road trip for service or swag.

Just tried installing this latest version on two systems. Boy, I've never had a software install act like this.

Version 2.5.2 installed in C:\Program Files\Garmin. This version installed in C:\Garmin on one system, and D:\Garmin on the other???? That is a completely differnet partition!

I know they have only been out for about one week,and I am looking for some imput on it. I have read that the voice is tinny on the 255 and I was hoping that they fixed that. How bad are the pop up ads? Does the Bluetooth work fine?
