Presently I have Garmin GPS on my phone and it works well. I would like to get a stand alone GPS for our other cars and was hoping that some users could make a suggestion on some models. It would be good to have a model that is not too expensive, but provides the needed features. Thank you in advance for your input.
Comparison
Here's something to look at

Since you are happy with Garmin (as am I)
Go to Garmins website and look at the units available with the features you like, and price range you can deal with.
Features
I think the best place to start would be to let us know what features that you need, that you'd like, and also which features you might not want. After that, we'd be able to give you better options as to what's out there. Giving a max price wouldn't be a bad idea either. That way we're not suggesting models that are $100 more than you'd like to spend.

What features do you need?
What features do you need? If you don't know, you can start with a free nuvi 200:

I gave my wife a 200W which is nice and cheap. She doesn't drive to unfamiliar places like I do, so I really need TTS. My entry-level choice these days would be a 260W. No frills like Bluetooth or traffic, but it does the navigation very well.
Of course, on the Garmin board most people will recommend a Garmin...
