which Garmin to get?

I'm looking to get a 2nd Garmin added to our family. Right now we only have a c340 and I'm torn between which to get of the following: Nuvi 265wt, 760, and 770. The price of the 770 is the cheapest of the three on amazon.com and I am mainly going to use this 2nd GPS on my job as a utility repairman as well as family trips. I know the 770 has maps of Europe on it which is the main difference between it and the 760 and all three have Bluetooth. Any pros and cons on which of these I should really consider? Also should I wait for Black Friday before purchasing or should I just go ahead and get it now? Thanks for any and all help you can provide.

Wait

I have a StreetPilot 7200 so I'm not sure which model is best... but I can tell you that I've heard that there will be some pretty awesome deals this year in the technology market for Black Friday. I'd recommend waiting to see what kind of deal you might get.

265WT

Just got my 265WT 1 hour ago, thought a Mad map might be neat to down load and look at for future trips. Garmin site only shows Zumo, nuvi 500,700,705. I have not explored add-ons beyond that yet. I will update you in a week.

Depends on What You Want

I bought a 750 since my car has Bluetooth built-in. The 700 line has some great features and the prices are dropping at a lot of online dealers. Now, if you need the traffic feature the 7X5T series maybe the way to go. I really like the street name to voice feature during city navigation. If you want to spend big bucks, the 8X5 with the 3D building and traffic lane indication looks really cool.

Nuvi 750 and 755T

My wife wants one

I drove around with a 2610 for 5 years until some schmuck stole it. My wife could take it or leave it.

I replaced it with a Nuvi 770 and now she wants one. She likes the traffic and bluetooth as well as the form factor.

I imagine I'll be picking one up for her, just haven't decided which one.

770 has 4 GB internal memory besides both maps

The 770 besides both maps also has 4GB internal memory while the 760 has 2GB

Thanks for the help

just looking for something that I can use for quite awhile before having to upgrade. When I bought my first GPS I really didn't know what to look for and just went off a recommendation from a friend. That was a good starter GPS but now am looking for something a bit advanced. I did look at the 800 series but those are definitely out of my price range and the 765T is almost out of it. Seems like I should just put the $400 away until I can see some of the Black Friday ads that are posted on the web before too long. Does the 760 and 770 also have to lifetime traffic built into them like the 765T/775T or is it a seperate subscription?

rjrsw...do you like the 760 and have you had any "lag" issues with it?

Nuvi 680 is on sale at

Nuvi 680 is on sale at Amazon today for $199, FS. It is a refurb but does come with a free map update. Nice unit for the 200 bucks IMO.

Costco and Sam's Club

Check out Costco Online and Sam's Club online and (Sam's stores) They have some very good deals on Garmins. They have a lot of 7xx series for sale.

Do I like the 760?

I really like the 760 but if I would buy today I would go with the 770. It has both US and Europe maps plus twice the internal memory of the 760 otherwise they are identical and you can buy a 770 for less than a 760 now.

I had a .1 to .2 mile lag in the TTS navigation voice prompts with the 4.00 and 4.10 firmware versions. The 4.20 firmware fixed that but there is a hesitation now sometimes in map refresh that Garmin is aware of and working on it now.
