Garmin talk

How many of you own a Garmin GPS and have also purchased additional maps?

I bought the Nuvi 360 when it was first released along with City Navigator Europe and Australia maps. At the time Garmin allowed one additional install. I used this additional install on my replacement Nuvi 660.

I am pretty new to POIs. if i install POIs using the POI loader in express install mode, will the sound files play when i am near a POI? or do i need to manualy set them to play using the manual mode?
I did set Proximity point alerts to ON on my GPS unit.

I have The Nuvi 660.

Does anybody upgrade garmins for a small fee?

Is there any Garmin maps for truckers. Too many times my Garmine wants to send me down a back country road that I should not be on.

Introduce myself: Purchased Garmin Streetpilot 2730 (w/XM) for use on a motorcycle. Planning 4000 mile trip over a week in May. Garmin does some things well, some things I'm disappointed in. Any help with any of these questions would be greatly appreciated:

Hello, Does anyone know if the Nuvi 200 can talk Greek? It allows me to change the keyboard and all to greek but I have not been able to figure out how to change the voice to greek, if at all posible.

Just wondering if any one else has updated their Nuvi and added the Eco Route function?

I have a Garmin Nuvi 205w
I've made and downloaded some POI files.

So I got the program to put the files on my garmin, no problem. I put one of the POI files on my garmin, worked well. I then checked my garmin to make sure it worked, SWEET. This is easy.
I then put the next file on it. Check my garmin to make sure it's there and YES! but the first POI file I put on it was gone.

With the 705 series, when you are on a route driving, I don't know if it is related to using the french version but is seems that one third of the green bar on the top, besides the green arrow box, is unable to show any text. most of the time, there is enough space to display the whole street title but only part of it is shown and a large part of the bar remain unused....

Is ther any other big difference between the two besides buletooth? I check it on Garmin site, I could find only bluetooth difference.

Does Nuvi 755T or 765T support SD or HCSD cards?
I will apprecite your feedback.

I want to pair my Nuvi 760 GPS unit with my Blueant Interphone headset but I'm lacking the directions I need. Pairing with a cell phone is not the issue.
Can anyone give me advice/information/instructions on how to do this? Many thanks.

I have a new Zumo 550 (Not the one that Harley sells). I downloaded a POI from the POI Factory and following the instructions (I thought) uploaded the POI to my Garmin. Everything finished without errors. I turned the Zumo off and then back on and I can't find where the Dealers are. I suppose that I did something wrong.

So there is a new vehicle posted on Garmin's website. It is a nice looking vehicle of a Golf Cart called putter. I just downloaded it and added it to my 350. When you go into the change vehicles page on the nuvi, no vehicles are present. I went and removed, the vehicles worked, put it back on and they do not work. I only have a couple icons in there so it was not an issue of overloading.

So I've got a Garmin nuvi 750 and note that favorites/ geocaching icons and the like show up on the live map, very cool. But ...

There are places in this world where cellphone coverage isn't available. Suppose you're in one of these uncovered areas and your car broke down and all you have is your Garmin GPS unit. You know your co-ordinates, but how do you tell the civilized world where you are?

Does anyone know a good source for car icos for a Nuvi besides the Garmin site?

I'm looking for a Dodge Challenger icon.

Hi im new to GPS devices and I just ordered my Garmin 750, shouldbe expecting it soon. Anyway, I have a couple questions regarding the transfer of mp3 files from my Itunes (I have a mac) to the Garmin 750

I am a long time user of GPS systems but new to Garmin. Just bought a 755T and found this site when checking into POI's. I have used MapSource to create speed zone and school zone warnings.I have download some BMP and MP3 files from this site.
