I am considering up grading to a new 755T. Features wise it appears to be perfect for me. I am wondering if we have any 755T owners on the forum. If so, can you please offer your thoughts and impressions. I am wondering if it has the same quirks as the 760.

Just got a 555w and was of the impression that it was bluetooth compatible. The tools section shows how to pair use this service but i'm not sure that i'm doing this right since so far nothing is happening.
Sure could use some expertise!

I’m curious, my nuvi 750 warns me as I approach a red light camera, and warns me when I approach a speed zone/trap. When approaching the speed zone, the G.P.S. flashes in red, but not so for the red light camera. I have look at both CSV files in excel, but see no special codes. I would like the camera warning to also flash red. Any suggestions?

I have read Motorcycle Mama's instructions on how to do this but got stumped on the first step:

- Rename your MP3 EXACTLY the same name as your POI file except for the file extension (the three letters after the dot).

I picked up the Zumo 550 about 2 weeks ago and have been playing with it and testing it. (nice having one that I can program my rides in) I have gotten a lot of good tips from the different discussions here. I have just ran into an issue, and would appreciate some input on it.

I don't want to spend the money right now on a traffic receiver, but I recently upgraded to a Windows Mobile smartphone. With the internet you can download a free Google Mobile Maps app that is very interesting. It can access the gps in the phone, show addresses, businesse, give directions and yes, even traffic reports, indicated by colors for many cities.

Is there anything that can help learn how to use Mapsource - Garmin manual pretty sketchy. As an example how do I get POI files (converted to GPX) to to stick in the POI screen of Mapsource. Every time I loan one file the previous one disappears.

Your help appreciated.

In earlier versions of MapSource, there was a customer waypoint icon option. Seems like it's gone in the later versions. A new Garmin idea, or can somebody come up with an idea to create cust. icons?

I've had my 765T for 2 days. Previously, I used an old Garmin eMap with Mapsource and Microsoft Streets and Trips.

What's the best way to transfer a route to the GPS?

I've read that Mapsource does not do it and Microsoft Streets and Trips is incompatible.

I don't know what happened. I updated to SW version 4.30 in my Nuvi880 and it appears that it now displays the terrain when in "track-up" mode. I don't mind the terrain, it is just that it is harder to read text against the green terrain back ground as opposed to non-terrain white back ground.

Does anyone know how to turn off terrain in the "track-up" mode?

If I install custom POI's on my garmin using the POI loader will the factory original POI's on my 760 get overwritten?? I've read that when you install custom POI's it deletes the previous ones?? My nuvu came with tons of POI's and I don't want to loose the ones that are on it.

If I have the choice, which files are better CSV or GPX or something else??

I recently retired my beloved iQue 3600 for a Nuvi 255. In my address book I have a lot of my waypoints from my iQue 3600 that have the following type of description:

GARMIN 1A89EA48 AAFC86D0 B0024

Is there a way for me to use these waypoints so I don't have to reenter them all?

Hello folks, new to the site. I've been checking it out for a few weeks and there's a lot of information.

My 8g microSDHC card for the refurbished Nuvi 880 is fine. The mp3s on it play fine. I can listen to the Audible.com books also on the card, as long as the card is not in the 880. It says the unit is not authorized for playing the books.

New user , Nuvi 750. I only have a chose of two functional english speaking voices and those do not contain (TTS) after them. Can any one explain why I can not use the other names that have the (TTS) ??

Have been using nRoute + GPS18 on PC when travelling worldwide. The new City Nav. Europe 2009 AND future City Nav. North Am. will not pop up in nRoute. These updates will NOT be placed in C:\Garmin, and consequently not end up in the register! Information from Garmin US-support.

im new to this and am having trouble loading the poi's ive picked out from my sd card...i know it's on the card but my garmin acts like it's not even in the slot...i loaded poi's on the garmin it's self but i ran out of room and had to put it on a card.
Any Help will be appreciated

All of a sudden, the voices on my Nuvi 750 are gone. I turned the unit off for a food stop, then when I turned it back on, directions were not being spoken. The think has gone mute before and I had to go select the voice in the Languages setting, but this time i got a message "None Found" under voices.

Where did they go and how do i get them back?
