Got a 4Gb SD card today... Decided to create new music Disk....

Prior to today, I was using a 1Gb SD card.. and the 1 Gb card was nearly full with music.

When I got the 4Gb card.. I left the rock in the root directory, and created a second directory, JAZZ, and put all my Jazz in that directory....

During of the 3 month 'Demo' of traffic... I never saw a thing... And I live in Chicagoland....

When I approached Garmin for more information and maybe a 2nd demo.... NO WAY!!!
When I purchased Lifetime traffic last week... I did so with a bit of concern....

I connected the Unit, currently completed up-to-date with firmware etc, to a AC Source, then hit the following options:

From the Map menu
Hit the "Driving" or "arrival" beside the MENU.
HOLD the km/h or mp/h speedometer for about 10 seconds
I am not sure what to do with this but anyways, it seems to give a lot of info.

I've made an interesting discovery about my 775T. While on a long night drive last week, I had to turn down the brightness to 10%. However, at daylight, the unit went back to 100% backlighting. I thought that was very cool that it remembered the settings!

As well, I've found that the unit remembers your zoom level between uses if you don't clear 'My Data'. Again, very cool.

I recently loaded a Wachovia bank poi file into my nuvi 765.Now every time i get close to a wachovia bank i get an alert. Cannot figure out why. CVS file looks normal no hidden symbols. Can anybody out there Help! I changed the name of the file etc

Here's an interesting innovation. GPS City is advertising the new EcoRoute HD Cable which is compatible with bluetooth enabled Nuvi series 1XXX (ie 1690,1490,1390,1370 & 1260)

This cable enables your nuvi to talk directly with your vehicle via the vehicles Onboard Diagnostic System (ODB)

Can the Nuvi 350 be upgraded to do speed check?

Can someone tell if my old bean bag mount will fit the new 1490T or 1390T?..They both have the ball and socket joint like the older nuvi 6XXs

Does anybody know when the next map update for nuvi will be out?

The nature of my job is such that I am in the car most of the day. I do have a laptop computer with a wirelss aircard and I use a Garmin StreetPilot 2730 throughout the course of the day. The IT folks will not let me add software to that computer, however. Are there any Garmins that allow the address to be received wirelessly?

I have a Nuvi 255W. Was able to add custom POIs, but having a tough time loading the voices/icons from Garmin Garage. What is the process? Also looking for free map update for this unit. Does one exist? Also looking for voices other than the couple in the garage. How about making my own custom icons?

I rode with a friend into Phoenix the other day. He requested Onstar directions to our destination.
I asked if Onstar showed distance to next turn. His answer was no.
When returning home in fairly heavy traffic we were in HOV lane with all traffic moving at the speed limit. Onstar announced the next turn in approx 1 mile.

i just set up a route using google maps and the google maps site said the miles was 396 to the destination when i sent to the Nuvi, and i looked it up in "favorites" it said the mileage was 336 miles???

i deleted it and tried it 2 more times with the same results

What are these files and can I move them to my backup folders ?

We drove from LA to Blythe today, very windy! The volume on our Nuvi 755 was working nicely. We turned it off when we stopped for lunch. After lunch the volume was so low we could barely hear it. We turned it up to 100% and still can barely hear it. We turned it off and on again. Any ideas on how to fix it?

You have to love Garmin! A firmware update is available for the four year old 310/360/370 models through webupdater. Change log reads:

Changes made from version 5.10 to 5.20:

* Fixed problem where certain voices could sound garbled.
* Fixed issue that could occur working with Safety Cameras.
* Corrected Eniwetok Time Zone.
* Corrected Spanish punctuation marks.
