I like mine

Found one on a close-out shelf at a Cabella's store at a price I could not pass up. If you live in an area where there's traffic coverage - it can be handy, and lane assist is very nice.

I like my 765t

I like my 765t. Other than the screen needing to be re-calibrated once in a while it's a good unit. The junction view is nice when out of town on freeways and so is lane assist.
I don't use the trafic much but I'm sure I will someday.

765t

Some of the 7x5's have touch screen issues. You can read about it in here, and there is so far no fix, other than replacing it. My first 755T had those issues. I have a 765T now with no issues from day 1. Upgraded the firmware and maps and still works like a charm. Here's my suggestion. Since it might be a hit or miss if you get a good one, buy it at Costco. Their return policy is second to none. I don't know of any store that will let you return it so easily, and you can tell them you will be back if it doesn't work. They don't care.

A Very Good Unit

Like the others have stated, the touch screen needs to be recalibrated once in a while. I got mine last June 25. On the 27th, the Firmware issue reared It's head. Fortunately, I had not acquired the first sattellite yet, so I downloaded and updated the latest firmware, and it has worked flawlessly since.
Love the Junction View. Have not seen traffic screens yet.

you might want to look at

The 8X5 series are a good alternative as well. They don't have the screen issues some of the 7XX units experience, but then again they don't have Navteq traffic so it would mean replacing the traffic receiver. The voice command feature is a nice bonus. I just picked up a replacement 885 for $281 US.

Junction view

Junction view will display a picture of an upcoming junction with the magenta arrow telling you how to maneuver through it. It only comes up while on a route, and not all junctions are included.

Junction View

I think garmin calls it "lane assist" in their marketing.

like my 765T would recommend

best buy 189.99 now

The 8X5 my NOT be a good

The 8X5 my NOT be a good alternative. It does not have some of the features the 765t has. You can't go by higher numbers/newer models with Garmin as being better.
With the latest updates, my 765T has become a very good GPS, though like all the newer models does not display as much detail as the older models.

Good price, no doubt but how good is it if you end up with a bum one? Frside007 says his needs re calibration once in a while, my old one you could do that in-defiantly and it wouldn't help. There are lots of posts in here about the 7x5's touch screen issues. My new one hasn't had an issue even with the new firmware. Point here is that there are good 7x5's and bad ones. Will best buy exchange it till you get one that works if its a dud? Better be sure. My advice again, is get it at costco.
