New update for 265.

Changes made from version 6.10 to 6.20:
Fixed issue where some units would not turn display off when in charging mode.
Fixed issue with some units losing all audio.

I got garmin 265wt for my Christmas gift and trying to download 2010 map.
Download won't start with download manager.

Is there any way I can download this map before it expire in 2 weeks?

Last week I was driving through the secondary roads of Chicago my red light camera alarm was going off like crazy. No big deal since I know there are red light cameras all over the place. The problem is my Garmin RLC alarm would go crazy and start beeping and would not stop. Anyone experience this.. any fixes? The only thing I could do was shut it down and restart to get the alarm to stop.

CSV and GPX files containing HTML codes combined with text can be used in the comment or description fields on some GPS units providing colored text in different sizes. I’m not sure if uploading files to POI Factory which contain HTML data is a good idea because I don’t know which GPS units can display that data.

I have a nuvi 765T and am in Vancouver, BC Canada. Even when driving on roads that supposedly have traffic alert coverage, I have never received any alerts (or even the ads for the free service). Can anyone confirm that traffic alerts are available and working in Vancouver? Also, is there 3d building view available here? Thanks!

i had another post about the difficulties i experienced with my new mac and poi loader for mac i downloaded from garmin . couldnt get it to work .i tried methods suggested by other poi members and thought i was successful but wasnt.

My Nuvi 765 speaks a street (WestBrook Drive) near my house as Westblook. Is there a way to correct this? Also when you are travelling on QEW (Queen Elezabeth Way)highway, it calls it "Q".

Sometimes my 255WT freezes while "recalculating" I reboot it and everything seems fine. Is that something I should be worried about?

I just upgraded my Garmin to a Garmin nüvi 285W/285WT for $100 form Amazon.

Something's going on with my 755T. Sometimes the power is lost. It's not at the 12V plug end, that's solid. I think the cradle to GPS connection is OK. I think it's the power to cradle connection that's at fault. If I wiggle that power gets restored, but only sometimes.

Any suggestions?

Anyone figured out how to send favorite way points to the garmin wireless with Google maps? I find the address on Google maps,but instead of the "send " (in the upper right)option I see Print , email or link.... No Send

Has anyone had problems with mapsource and windows 7. I have loaded the original c/d from garmin, then went to the downloads on garmins site and downloaded the latest mapsource file, it looks like it downloaded but it wont update to the latest file. Does it take a patch or something to get it to update, or am i not doing something in win7 to get it to take it. any help is greatly appreciated.

I have a few POI's loaded with various proximity alerts. The alerts come up only when one is on the same street, or the selected route passes the POI.

Is there an option to have the alert show up based on RADIUS?

Two months old unit has intermittent problem when the unit
wont turn on and times when it turns on,it wont turn off
without waiting till it is ready to turn off. Searching
history finds similiar problems some time back, any thing
current before I go back to Radio Shack to look for answers?

As others have pointed out, you can get free lifetime traffic with the optional GTM 25 receiver...commonly sold on eBay for around $50.00

I have the nuvi 205w given as a Christmas gift from my son. I love it and use it everyday. My question is .. almost everytime i connect to mygarmin (once every two weeks)there seems to be a new software update (says firmware update while updating). Is this normal and ok to do every time what can they be updating?

Is anyone having erratic problems with Their 1690.

Mine powers off, hangs up on startup, and sometimes directs me to the wrong location.
