Okay, so I'm new here. I have downloaded a few POI files for my nuvi 205w and installed them without much hassle. I ask about SOX because I am unsure if I need to know about it and if I do need to know about it, then what exactly do I need to know. Sorry if this is found in a faq or something. I did look for it, but had no luck finding the info. Point it out to me if it is there please.

The audio on my nuvi suddenly stopped working. Any suggestions as to why this has occurred, and how to fix it? Not having the audio warnings is starting to drive me nuts.

I tried to do a reset (i.e. push the reset button), but that didn't help. Additionally, I noticed that the audio DOES work if I set my nuvi to transmit audio to my vehicle's FM radio.

I've been trying to submit a map error on the Garmin site this afternoon and I keep getting the ...

Im new to all of this... Garmin and Windows 7 trying to download the POI Loader from Garmin site. it says its downloaded but when I try to run it I get a unsupported OS error??? Can anyone please help me with this and make it idiot proof??? Thanks so Much in advance.

I've asked before, not sure if nobody knows, but where does my 2350LMT get its info for red light and speed cams? It seems to be more accurate than poi factory, yet how is that possible since the gps is over a year old?

I found this on their website, it's $8.49 to get their file that's supposedly updated "daily."

Is there a way to create Nuvi 350 Rest Area POI alerts to trigger only for a Rest Area that is along your route in the direction of travel on a divided highway? I don't want an alert for the Rest Area on the other side of a divided highway (i.e., an interstate highway with both a North and South Rest area).

I have a really weird problem with my 560LMT, not directly related to POI's, please bear with me. I'm really frustrated.

One particular route that I built, used, and discarded months ago, keeps coming back! I've deleted it multiple times, even done a complete reset, and it just keeps coming back.

It isn't in BaseCamp -- which I don't really like anyway.

Had them working together fine then Basecamp said it was having trouble communicating with the 3790 . Junked the Pref file, downloaded a fresh copy of Basecamp and problem stays Restarted computer and no help. Using a MacBook. Anyone have any ideas?

I recently added a sdhc 4G (format FAT 32) to my nuvi 260W. Initially the drive appeared on my Macbook Pro as "no name." What should I do to configure it for use the next time I download maps? Then, how do I do it?

No mention made of added support for a secondary mapset on the SD Card as was reported with the previous (pulled) v5.20. Maybe they forgot. I'm staying away since v4.90 works fine for me.

I am new to POI and downloaded several POI files for my Nuvi 350. I told my friend in Kerrville TX about POI and he had trouble downloading the files. Problem was at his end and turns out to be a mac computer set up and bad USB to Garmin cable. He is working on it, but I had the opportunity to show him the Walmart, Flying J, Campgrounds, Costco and Rest Area POI's.

When I ran Webupdater this morning, it applied an undate to 2.5.5. Not much on the change log (below) but I let it update anyway. Seemed to work OK after update.

I have a Garmin Nuvi 50.

I have loaded POI databases such as the wifi one and the B of A one. When I drive around, it will show me the icon of those respective POI's as I loaded those as well.

Suppose I was somewhere unfamiliar and I wanted to locate the "closest" B of A branch or Wifi spot and wanted directions to that place. How would I accomplish that?

Can't update my maps on a C530. Keeps telling me here's not enough space. I'm trying just Canada and Boardering states. Any ideas?

Saw a good deal and thinking about getting a 2360LMT and see some reviews that talk about the traffic sponsored ads - they mention the ads pop up in the middle of the screen during navigation - is that the case?

I have a 765T now and I only see adds when I stop and they only appear in the upper portion of the screen. Did Garmin change the way the ads appear now?

Under Windows Vista, I could change a file from a .csv format to a .txt format merely by renaming the suffix. Piece o' cake.
