Is there any way to load tracks into an 850 and have them display as normal trip logs?

I've done "tracks" downloads with Mapsource (at least Mapsource says it downloaded them) but nothing actually downloads. Trying to upload them back into Mapsource produces the message "no tracks exist".

I've plugged in a micro card w/tracks but they don't display.

Garmin recently added a Garmin Express Forum as it's own forum category on their software/developer forum site. At least for the moment, there seems to be an actual Garmin support representative that is monitoring the new forum, which is kind of unusal in the Garmin forums.

I maybe traveling to Aruba and it doesn't appear that either the N. American or S. American maps contain routable streets for Aruba. Does anyone know if there is such a thing? It appears they have maps for other islands like P.R. and Jamaica, etc.

Has anyone successfully used "safe texting" on their 3490? I vaguely remember when I first got this unit (about 2 years ago) that there was a feature on the Nuvi that would Bluetooth to your smartphone (via MAP) and it would display (or announce?) received texts on the Nuvi.

How do I use the POI loader to load JCV file ? The POI loader doesn't recognize the file extension.

Please help.

Unable to factory reset no matter what corner I hold my thumb on when doing a power on.

Also unable to go into diagnostics mode. I don't really want to go into diag but just trying to see if that would work.

I wanted to factory reset since some of my routes shut the unit off until now I have never used the reset.

looking for some help. I hv done everything that has been said here to a tee, but still no sound alerts. Not even a ding.

I have always been happy with using Mapquest.com to create routes and send them to by various Nuvi models especially because the function seems to come and go (mainly go) from Google Maps. Anyhow, I created a route today and went to SEND it to my Nuvi 3597 only to find that the SEND command has dissappeared from the upper right corner of the Mapquest map screen.

I upgraded from XP to Win 7 and can't find the hidden system file!

I went to CP folders and clicked on show hidden folders but that did not work.

I have had my 465T since 2009 and it has treated me well. The purchase of a new battery is in the neighborhood of approx $75.00 and to have garmin support do it. It appears it would make sense to buy a NEW garmin.

computer does not recognize my garmin

I made a trip early last year and have all the waypoints saved in a folder in 'my collection', Garmin Basecamp. They are also on my Garmin 1450 internal memory. Is there an easy way to delete these off my Garmin without doing it one at a time. It would be nice if I could do it in Basecamp, when Garmin is attached, and just highlight all, then delete. I tried that and it didn't work.

Looking for some help. I don't seem to be able to create an alert POI and have my desl760 alert when it should. I have alerts turned on from Custom POI's. Found this site

Upgrade from 2595 to 2597, I miss the dashboard of 2595.
The 2597 has instant speed on the lower left corner. Can I force it to somthing else like distance to destination...

mgarledge recently had a problem with being able to see a Budapest POI on her unit. This was discussed in the thread "BaseCamp Help And Information" (see http://www.poi-factory.com/node/35029) Note that mgarledge was the OP of that thread)

On a recent trip from GA to Dunedin Fl the Garmin Nuvi 3590 routed me of I75 short of Tampa. On the ride home it took me through Tampa. Even accounting for traffic delays it seems to me that the routing was incorrect.

Any thoughts?

I have been having my own problems with the BIG learning curve with Garmin. Has anyone studied the lessons that Don Norwood has on utube? I see there are 18 lessons. I have watched four of them. It's very envolved. As before, one step at a time. It's like cramming many years into a few days of learning. I can see why I am overwhelmed! I still need to learn more about JCV files.

Does anybody know or is having the same problem I'm having with my Nuvi 2597? The unit doesn't seem to remember the icon I choose to display in the map when saving a location. For example, I may choose a "house" icon when saving an address but when I re-start the unit it reverts back to a "heart" icon!
Is this happening to anybody else or other units?
