Language Files Update

Noticed in GE that there are optional updates for Languages. What do these updates accomplish and are they necessary? I guess the latter is a little subjective. Anyway, will I benefit from the 180mb update for English?

2460?

These are for your nuvi 2460, right? It uses TTS voices for the six English language voices. The current version numbers and dates offered for these English voices are discussed here:

The 2460 uses the large file size, high quality files but not the newest TTS3 voices.

Update Stuck

The update said there were two minutes remaining. Didn't see a check in the English update so checked it again. Now there are four minutes remaining and that has been 20 minutes ago. Need to worry???? Or should I just disconnect and try again?

EDIT: After another hour download was still at ZERO. I ejected via USB, checked the voices and all is A-Okay!

Looks like there is an OOPS! in the update process.

BTW ... the voices were backed-up.
