Don't think it was WAAS.... 660 Lost it's mind
Inside house, with antenna not up, powered up 660 and added a new favorite...
Was going to have it tell me how long to get to this new destination, but then I found out I had shut down 660 far from home, so it would have to find home first.
So went outside, raised the antenna, and while it was awaiting satellite reception, it flat out died!!!

Red Light Camera file: Ease Of Use and Accuracy
This is my first post. Thinking of installing the POI-Factory Red Light Camera file on my Garmin nuvi 52 GPS device that I received as a gift. This is my first GPS device and I am not sure if the Red Light file is worth installing. Does it work well, is it easy to use, is it accurate, etc.? I live in Nassau County, Long Island, New York and would appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Yellow Color when attaching a MTP device
I was doing some testing of what happens on a restart the other day. I did a master reset on my 2595 and - as I expected - the factory defaults include being in MTP mode.
Before putting the device back into MS mode, I attached it to the computer and noticed that the Icon of the Tower and the USB cord were in yellow (versus the white I am used to).

Viago gone?
I found this link over on the Garmin software forum: http://sites.garmin.com/en-US/viago/
This app is no longer available for purchase or download.
It appears that Garmin may have discontinued Viago ... too bad. Although it could have used a few enhancements, I kind of liked the program.

safety and red light poi's to sd card
Hi,
First time here. I downloaded to POI Loader and safety and red light camera files. The instructions say to load then straight to my nuvi. Will they still work if I load them on my sd card instead and install that into the nuvi? I would rather just deal with the sd card most of time instead of connecting the gps.
Thanks, GQ

Can't see my old POI's after downloading new ones?
I purchased a new 50LMT after my old Garmin died. I added some POI's and they worked fine.I later added some new POI's. The new POI's are there but I can not see the original POI's. I looked in the memory and the old POI's are there but they are not showing up on the screen.I went to the download file to add the old POI's but It's telling the files are already there? Am I missing something?

Garmin nüvi 3597LMTHD back in stock online and in Best Buy Stores
I see that todays Best Buy weekly ad is showing the 5" screen sized top of the line Garmin nüvi 3597LMTHD units are available online and in some stores for $329.99.
Checked inventory here in Tucson and it showed 4 stores with unit is stock including one very near to me in Oro Valley.
I have seen many posts on here regarding the unit being discontinued a while back and no longer available.

Nuvi 2789LMT
Does anybody know what is going on with the release of the Nuvi 2789LMT? It was supposed to be released with the 2014 Advanced Series line but it doesn't seem like it was. All of the other 2014 Advanced Series line are available and the 2789LMT says that it will be available in the 1st quarter of 2015 on the Garmin web site.

Got another refurbished 2460LMT with NA maps that is not what it is supposed to be
Yup, I tried again because everyone says "No issues", "great unit".
I did more homework on this one. It cost me $30 more. I verified with the reseller (Isave via Amazon) that it has lifetime NA maps and that the warranty is a 1 year. I was told yes to both. I was also told that they buy as is from Garmin. So a 2460 LMT with NA maps should have lifetime NA maps.

Blue line on Garmin 3597 normal?
Hey, I just got my 3597 and out of the box it has a blue line across the top. Is this normal? I don't remember it being there when playing with the demo at Best Buy or having it on my 205W. Thanks. Link is to a screenshot to show it. Words do cover the blue line which is what confuses me.

POI and SD Card (Kenwood)
Very new to this everyone. I have built in Kenwood 4250 DAB / Kenwood and I use SD card for map updates. I wanted Custom POI and I downloaded CSV excel file, used POI loader and it converted to .gpi. I copied to SD card, not sure if I should have made a POI folder, anyway I had no success when I loaded SD card to device in car?? Should the CSV file also be on SD card?

Garmin Express Update Available
At least for the Mac side.
Garmin Express 3.2.30.0

What 7" Garmin would you buy, and why?
Wife says maybe we should consider a new a New Garmin.
I'm not certain...
We'd want 7" unit... I would assume Lifetime Maps and Traffic...
What is your preferences?
(This does not mean I am giving up on 660)
A 2689LMT in both our cars that we love...
