Hello, this may not be the right site to ask this question but here goes.

Purchased & later returned the Garmin external mic ($15.00) bought at BestBuy. It was my hope it would improve BlueTooth usage,(echo on my end) yet results were just about equal with or without. Perhaps if a user was in a VERY noisy environment it "might" be useful, BUT then you wouldn't hear "them" thru your speakers LOL

I've got a POI CSV file successfully loaded onto the GPS, but how do I add a custom icon to display with the POI data?

I have my Nuvi 350 set to Always On.

I have a simple question about the 2009 map update but I can't seem to find the answer anywhere. It seems to me that the update does not remove the older map but rather adds a newer map also. But on my nuvi 680 I can't load the entire 2009 map because I don't have enough room. Is this correct? Why isn't the older map simply replaced by the newer map to conserve space?

I recently purchased a Nuvi 360, which I am finding myself a little disappointed with. The performance is great thus far, it's taken me where I want to go and got me there without fail.

The gripes I have with it as as fellows:

After installing my new map by download to my computer, is there any reason to keep it on my hard drive? I do not use mapsource.

i was browsing through the POI and i clicked on the sports link and it had one on espn's mike & mike.. i was just wondering-- what is that? radio show for garmin???

I currently have a file in a GPX format to be uploaded to the site.This is my first attempt to do this but this is what i have so far.I put together a folder that has a GPX file of the waypoints that i have put together,a bmp icon and for those GPSr's with mp3, i have a mp3 alert file.Do i upload everything,or only the GPX file? Thanks for your help in advance.

In the NAV mode is there anyway to change the display from estimated time of arrival to speed? I know I can touch the EST and get the trip screen that shows speed but than I can't see the route. I really like to use the GPS as a speedometer. My 2610, 60CSx, and Etrex legend all let me do this while navigating. I have a Samurai with really big tires.

I just recently bought a new garmin 200 and have noticed that there are some stores around my home that have just recently been built do not show up in my POI's. Does Garmin offer any POI updates occasionally? I just uploaded the new 2009 map and thought that it might be included in that but it's not. Does anyone know?

I have just finished doing the 2009 map update and noticed that the units memory seems to be getting quite full. When connected to my computer the folder for the Garmin drive shows a size of 1.21, then "Used 1.14" and
"Available 70.1 MB"

I have Nuvi 760.
My trial FM traffic expired.
Can I use this reciever for MSN, or does it require a different Reciever. Thanks

If you have been having problems getting the Garmin communicator plugin to be detected on the test page (like I was) and are feeling stupid (like I was) this will help (with both problems ): On Internet Explorer go to "Tools" and click on "Manage Add-ons" then "Enable or disable add-ons" and you will see your problem.

Does anyone have ALL the codes for formating a gpx file? Like everything betwen and .

Well I've just downloaded and installed the new 2009 maps. I thought it would also install map source on my computer but it didn't. Is anyone else also having this?

We have several Nuvi's. Is there anyway to add a phone number to the favorites? I would think it would be an easy thing to do to edit the file(s) but we couldn't see how. Anyone know the secret?
