Keeping the Windmill Alive - Where was your last trip with your GPS?

He needed some mason supplies that I had to bring to him. Out came the 1390T to find where he was working.

Just left Garden of Gods,MT Evans and starting Rocky MT National park in CO.

Round trip from Columbus, OH to Myrtel Beach, NC.

Interesting - it took me there by one route and returned by another. Both about the same time and distance. No traffic problems I know of. I wonder if it looked at day of week traffic trends?

and the Garmin 260 is working great! Wonderful trip down through western Idaho.

Used it to find a bakery shop

Made a short trip this week and returned Thursday evening. The Nuvi picked up the traffic signal quickly and accurately showed no issues; estimated time of arrival was right on the mark, too. Given the time (~1030 pm) this was not too surprising, but it was a welcome end to a long day! No complaints.

Last use was to guide me to the All Pontiac Weekend at the Dupage Expo Center.

Side note....Of the 400+ cars at this event, my plucky formula took home one of the only 10 1st place sponsor awards in the 1986+ class.

Spent Sunday afternoon going for a "Sunday drive" through some backroads near my home.

Completed Rocky MTN National Park.

R/T from Vegas to Spokane. Used the Garmin 260 in a tank bag on the motorcycle. Wonderful trip, some great scenery, and a good time with old friends!

North Dakota.

Garmin 765T works WAY better in the US than in Canada.

In US I get speed limits, warnings if over spped limits (I didn't speed, GPS was just out by a few hunderd feet - honest), Interstates in red, next highway intersection in green bar at top instead of telling me what highay I am on in Canada (duh).

Canada need to update map info.

My wife took our GPS to a Bridal shower which was about an hour from home. Apparently my "ballpark" directions weren't good enough for her.

Made iT down the Million Dollar Hwy in CO and the Four Corners for UT,CO,AZ and NM TODAY.

Took mine to Kansas City Kansas!!What a great place to visit!

I just made a 650Km trip and my GPS worked like a good friend and never let me down;
I realises though that I don't get alerts even though I have some POI downloaded and set to alerts on my unit.
Any comments??

I just returned from a long trip. My nuvi 265 worked like charm. however we wanted chinese food and checked on my GPS and it gave me one address; we had our chinese but while we were driving around the next day morning we found somany other chinese restaurents which did not show on our GPS; I wonder why?

I just took a trip to Six Flags in N.E. I noticed that sometimes when you change onto a different highway the 1690 kind of refreshes itself. So you are blinf for like 10 seconds. If there is a turn right after the 1st you may miss it.

Made it to Monument Valley,Natural Bridge Monument and the Valley of the Gods in UT.

A little side note. When I went up to Chimney Rock and Owl Creek Pass UT. About 3/4 of the way up the Mtn Samantha I guess got scared and jumped out. Glad there were signs showing the way.

...last Sunday in Oxnard, CA.

My lovely wife and I attended the show after a 3 year break, and got to see the likes of the Red Bull helicopter that does loops and flys upside down, a lady that is a "wingwalker" that stands on top of the wing while the plane does loops, stalls, and dives, an A-10 ground attack, a C-130 water drop to put out the fire, an F-18 breaking the sound barrier up close and personal, AND......of course......the Thunderbirds in their finely maintained and tuned F-16 aircrafts.

We used the NUVI to navigate the backroads to avoid the majority of the traffic jams.

What a BLAST!!! WOO HOO!!!

Made it through Arches National Park in UT today.Some beautiful scenery there.

We used to call it Point Mildew.

Made it through Canyonlands UT today.What a scenic view.

Did it in 4 days by motorcycle.

I was quite bedraggled by the time I arrived... around 1pm amidst triple digit temps.

I'm still rehydrating. LOL

Going to a wedding today in Toronto, then I'll be re-hydrating later. I hear it is going to be really warm in the city.

Nuvi 760 took a little longer than usual to start and pick up satellites, never picked up the traffic signal (TTN), but otherwise operated as expected.

We drove up to Delaware for my wife's best friend's bridal shower.

Drove from Connecticut to Washington, DC and back. Never knew how many red light cameras are in DC! Tons in NYC, too, but none near I-95 and the GW Bridge.

Next up is a trip to Rhode Island -- lots of cameras there, too...

Went through Red and Bryce Canyon UT.

Took mine Nuvi 755T to San Jose and San Francisco and back to Los Angeles

Over labor day planning a week-long trip through the VA Beach area.

We went to my cousin's wedding this weekend. It was only a little over an hour away, but we had never been there before. First time ever that my father had to follow someone some where because he didn't know where he was going.

Just came back from my trip from Edmonton to Vancouver. It was very userful to have my Nuvi with us.

How time flies -- we loaded up the car yesterday, and are headed off to deliver her to her dorm at college.

Seems like only yesterday I was walking the hallway late at night holding a screaming baby girl...
