I just checked amazon and its 373. I don't have a costco membership so looking for a deal on this at amazon or someother place. Also, looking at the coverage areas for the traffic, for my area the MSN has better coverage area, so I think I may want to hold out on a Garmin unit that has MSN capability. It looks like the 780 has that. Anyone seen any deals on the Nuvi 780?

If you don't need bluetooth, look at the new 255W. It has new interface and an all important faster processor. The MSN receiver cost another $100, but comes with a one year subscription instead of 3 months on the 780.

I just got the 260W at JR.com for $299, free postage and no tax. It does the trick for me.

Just picked up a Nuvi 200W at Circuit city for $199. Price dropped $59 two days ago.

I purchased a Novi 260 at Office Depot for $249,00 about 5 weeks ago and just received my $50 rebate yesterday, making my total cost $199.99 plus tax for the unit.

I have been watching to see if they lower the price again, but they and no one else have as yet, but they should all go up in features or down in price.

just bought my 3rd Nuvi, a 780, paid just a tad under $500 including shipping. Also have a 360 and a 660. Got to shop around for better prices. Use your search engines and take yer time and do a through job of searching, then make sure you buy from an authorized Garmin dealer. If not sure they are authorized, call Garmin's toll free number and they will tell you.

When i bought my nuvi 770 gpsnow.com had some very good prices.

Just got a 350 off Walmart.com for 199. With next day air shipping for 16.00.

I got my 760 From Costco for $350...I think it's still featured on their site's front page. Besides the good price, free shipping, free tech support, and an awesome return policy, I get 2% cash back.

I'm at home now awaiting the UPS truck with my Amazon order of a 760 for $359. Costco had it on sale (sale ended for $349 but they added $28 sales tax--I ordered and then canceled). With Amazon I had to keep checking the price. I get the price as high as $398 and it would drop a few dollars each day and at times it would be on sale for $359. I had Amazon gift certificates so that made them a big favorite. Oh, and I'm continuing to check the price for 30 days since they match.

Garmin has no authorized online dealers - ** NONE **.

However, it doesn't really matter... registering your unit involves having it connected to your PC so the Garmin server can recognize and register it.

Because of what is written in this forum, I qualified for a refund from Amazon. They lowered the price on the Nuvi 260W, and will credit me for the difference. Thanks to all.

On Friday, June 20, 2008, Amazon had the 760 on GoldBox discount for $341.97. See if you could get some money back.

I just received my (refurb) Nuvi 680 and only paid $349 and got free shipping. I bought my Rino 120s and some accessories from them too a while back. Great site!

Actually they do have a few online resellers that are authorized. I personally buy grom MegaGPS and get free shipping.

Garmin actually has a lot of authorized online dealers. What they DON'T have is any authorized online AUCTION dealers. Nobody on eBay or any other site of that nature is an authorized dealer.

My Dad just purchased a Nuvi 750 at Sam's Club for $299! That's crazy since they were around $500 when they were released in December!

I also paid $299. for my nuvi 750 from Home Shopping Network. I think it sold out.

My wife couldn't take it any longer and just purchased her own Nuvi 350 from Amazon. $199 with free shipping.

i just got a brand new garmin nuvi 760 for $350 at cercuit city then i got the msn reciever from amazon for 100 so total price is 450 with everything and i get a year service free a great deal the garmin 780 which has msn reciever free for three months is $600 i don't mean to bust anybody's chops but you paid way to much for the 660

if u got the 760 and then bought the msn reciever you 12 months service versus 3 months with the 780

I just bought at 200 for $135 at Target. It was $150 plus a 10% savings through Target credit card. It is fabulous.

I missed the Nuvi 760 price at Costco. And now they even show it online at all.

I wonder if they are just out of stock and they will list them again at the same price ?

I have a C340 that's not very old, but I bought each of my daughters a Nuvi 650. Now I want one.

Thought if I bought a new dash mount I'd fall in love with my C340 again, but it didn't work.
I might have to use part of my stimulus check to upgrade to a Nuvi.

Has anyone had any luck selling their old units on ebay?

I made a suggestion to Garmin they should take trade ins towards new units.

I'd recommend Amazon, but you have to keep hitting the site and find a good price. They seem to love changing prices randomly. Between when I bought mine and a few weeks later, the price jumped $50! It might be down now though.

Second on GPSNOW (where i just bought my 350W). And now that Amazon charges tax in NY, GPSNOW looks even better. (And nice shipping policy, if you want 2nd day air, you just pay the difference).

Speaking of GPSNOW, they no longer show the 3xx and 6xx series. I also note that other vendors seem way backordered on 3xx, and places seem to be almost giving 6xx's away. So I wonder if Garmin is just going to be sensible and have 2x5's and 7xx's (and do away with the x7x series, since european sd cards are now chear). The 255 has everything that was on the older 260. Maybe we will just have a world with a really cheap 200, 200W, 255, 255W and 755? Of course how would I then spend my time in deciding what to buy?

Question for you - I also have a C340 and also a Nuvi 350. I did notice that the speaker quality of the Nuvi isn't as great as that of teh c340. I'm thinking about one of these newer Nuvi's (650, 750, 760, etc) Since you've had both the C340 and the 660, do you notice a difference in the speaker quality?

Just for anyone who is looking for something cheap - Best Buy has the Nuvi 299 for $149 and there is a $50 off coupon floating around the net. Many have been able to pick them up at local stores for $99. I checked the specs on Garmin's web site, and this unit doensn't have text to speech, so not one that I would be interested in. But for those that don't want text to speech, looks like a pretty cheap price.

Fry's Electronic have it on sale couple time for $399. Not too bad compare to Costco price $349 plus shipping. Nuvi 760 was a very nice unit but it come with 2008 map version only, you have to register and request update to 2009 map.

But the pain with the 360 hands-free is that if you use another hands free when walking around (I have Oakley Razorwires), when you get in the car, the Garmin will fight with your other hands free for the connection.

The 360's hands free is also not that good. A lot of people complained to me that they couldn't hear me or I would cut out. I added the external microphone and get the same complaints.

I've turned the bluetooth off on the Garmin, use my Razorwires during the day, and at night....I pick up the phone.

Bottom line is I don't think it's worth spending any extra money to go from a 350 to to 360.

I was wandering through Sam's Club this week and they had the 750 for $299.

I picked up a nuvi 750 a few monthes back and paid $439.00 for it. If you can get one for $ 299.00 you best pick it up. That is a great price for a great gps.

My thought exactly when I bought 350. I paid $199 at canadian costco website. Prices in Canada is usually higher than in US, but I am glad I paid same amount as in US. Are the 3xx brand going obsolete?? Quick price drop is worrying me that I bought an "old" model to be outdone by the newer model coming out tomorrow.

Same $299 price at the Westmont IL Sam's Club for a few weeks now. I almost bought one, but the 350 is still going strong, and does everything I want it to.

I think it's the price at most Sam's clubs now. At this store, they had a large number of the units in the merchandise cage. Strange thing is that over the past weeks at that price, the number of units in the cage doesn't seem to have decreased. Must be the economy.
